This kind of stuff drives me crazy--I never trust anything, and it seems like some guys just get done dirty:
"After the game, Brian Snitker told reporters that Kazmir exited due to left arm fatigue. Kazmir later told MLB.com’s Mark Bowman that he threw 90-100 pitches during a bullpen session on Wednesday and was unaware that he would be pitching on Saturday. "

He just was not very good & does not seem to have anything left, he was so bad they found it in their best interest to eat the contract
Not a good option one way or another
That Kemp move just might pay off if Mc Carthy is good for a hundred or so innings & Culberson can play a role -- not to mention the money owed is off the books next off season

I sort of saw this one when they signed Sanchez.
There is no evidence he was a locker-room problem.

It actually makes perfect sense. He was as soft a soft-tosser can get, and then he left the game today with arm fatigue. To add, his salary was only taken on, by the Braves, as a way to get out from paying Kemp next year, so it wasn't his services they traded for. Sure, they'd like to get value for that money, but at the same time Matt Kemp had a -0.5 WAR last year, so he essentially cost the Braves money. Cutting Kazmir now ensures that the Braves won't be wasting any money this year either.

He seemingly got hurt while pitching today. The trainer and the pitching coach was really looking him over. It was on TV.

He said he did not expect to pitch today. Why did he pitch today? On two days rest after basically throwing a whole game's worth of pitches Wednesday.

Jaime Moyer was laughing at his fast ball velocity. About all this guy is qualified to do is throw batting practice.

I didn't expect him to make the team anyways. The trade was solely for salary next year. Off loading Kemp's salary for beyond next year was the premise behind the trade, if McCarthy and Culberson contribute this year, that is a bonus.

McCarthy will probably contribute enough to offset what Kemp would have done, and we rid ourselves of 2019 payroll. Cutting the longshot Kazmir is a non-issue to me.

I agree that it was a long shot and no big loss, I just don't like the way it was done. You can't have a guy throw 90-100 pitches and expect him to come back on two days rest...then cut him for "arm fatigue."

I think he hurt his arm... THAT would be a reason to let him go.

I think he hurt his arm... THAT would be a reason to let him go. He threw 90-100 pitches on Wednesday. Then on two days rest they had him pitch again on Saturday. Hurt his arm? How could he possibly do that coming back on two days rest in spring training? See where I'm going with this? He shouldn't have pitched on Saturday. If he hurt his arm it was probably because he sholdn't have been out there.

I get that But, the reason they let him go, was a hurt arm LOL And what was the reason he hurt his arm? I'm guessing 90-100 pitches on Wednesday and bringing him back on 2 days rest probably had something to do with. Again I'm not defending him or meaning to sound like he was going to be an asset for us, I'm just saying they shouldn't have done that to him, especially in spring training.
