So does anyone know of a different way to stream Braves Games? Does Sports South have an app one can subscribe to? I really would like to be able to watch the games without using MLB TV.

I don't have an answer to your question, but it's about this time every year when I rail on MLB TV, so I'm going to do it here.
I vaguely recall being satisfied with this product several seasons ago. It's been so long. I remember the first upgrade I experienced. MLB introduced a new player, but made the fatal mistake of offering an option to revert to the legacy player by clicking on a hyperlink at the bottom of the page. Of course, the legacy player offered a crisp picture and smooth stream. The updated player offered what I like to think of as the Parkinson's experience. But hey, we got extra graphics showing the scores to other games and a bigger logo!...because that's more important than the video feed for the game you're actually watching.
I've marveled at how MLB continues to screw something new up every year since then...browser specific problems, flash problems, outages, the class action lawsuit, and most recently a conflict with ad block software (despite paying for an ad free experience). I've only watched a couple spring training feeds this season, but their offshore development team in the Republic of Botswana has raised the bar yet again. Apparently opening a new tab in your browser or opening a different program that relegates the stream to the background will cause the it to fail. Not temporarily degrade in quality....to fail. I repeated it several times. Refreshing the browser fixed it, but still... Anyway, hopefully this gets fixed for opening day. I'll start holding my breath now.
