Would just assume consider keep every game 7 innings given the way the game is played today
For one thing, fewer pitching changes and less of a reason to have that bastardization of pitching called the "Opener"
The rosters could be made to have fewer scrub relief pitchers.
Would keep the attention span of the newer generation & now, if we can just adjust the pitcher of record rules so the SP can be more involved in the decision like it used to be
Also have the universal DH (its probably coming) - less of the cat and mouse time consuming pitch change and lefty righty decision strategy. Would keep the game going.
Now, if the shift can be regulated to a point, but that is another topic.
In the end I like the 7 inning game cause I would be in favor of anything to rid the Opener - that is an insult to my intelligence as a baseball fan, to think I would pay good money to see Johnny Opener start.
I would pay extra to see a Degrom or a Scherzer start and its getting to where if I can ever get back to the battery, would make a special effort to see Fried and Soroka when he gets back start. The SP matchup makes the game intriguing to me, the opener takes away from that

I hate all the pitching changes but no way I'd want to have every game be 7 innings.

How do you feel about the opener I have been on the fence on the 7 inning game, have posted about it considering it but with the opener I am getting stronger for the 7 inning game I hope the Braves do not go that way, just out of principle to me. I just abhor the opener. Guess I am too much 20th century

I would like to see people start stretching out pitchers arms again like the good old days where guys could throw 120 pitches and have no problems. Something tells me eventually the game will go back to that, if nothing else to save the arms. Having all these young guys throw 95-98 for an inning 3-4 times per week is killing their arms, they just need to stop that.

7 inning games outside of the double header scenario are a terrible idea.

With the athletic training they have today it mindboggles me that baseball players, pitchers in particular just break down Something has to start at the levels before they turn pro, do they just throw too much as teens in travel ball You wonder if guys like Maddux and Glavine would even get a sniff by a MLB scout today They need to listen to some one like John Smoltz, Jim Kaat and Jim Leyland and say #$&@# you to the Brian Kenny's of the world in my book, Brian Kenny is the Howard Cosell of the 21st century even worse cause he knows his trade less

7 inning games outside of the double header scenario are a terrible idea. I would rather have a good product and quicker moving game for 7 innings than a crappy product for 9 that bores me to tears - never thought I would want 7 inning games but the game has deteriorated in this century as I see it Not to mention the number of pitchers that never would have seen the MLB light of day a generation ago But I get why some would call it a terrible idea, its a radical thought - and I do not profess to be right, just throwing thoughts around

7 inning games are like saying you like having a chick jerk you but not all the way off.

7 inning games outside of the double header scenario are a terrible idea. I don't like it for doubleheaders, either. This is baseball for big boys. It's nine innings.

I think the opener is a more absurd concept. Anything but the opener
