He basically called the organization out for allegedly not caring about properly developing pitchers when someone saw a video clip of him throwing a filthy sweeping slider for a strikeout against the brewers yesterday, and that person asked why he never could do that in atlanta.
Sims replied "cause the Reds actually care about making their pitchers great at what their(how he spelled it in his tweet) good at.
Not sure how much merit that actually holds,if any, but I have wondered a few times about pitching development within the organization.
FWIW Sims is doing quite well to this point in 2020 in Cincinnati with a 1.23 ERA over 7.1 IP with 1 ER 3 H 3 BB 9 K for a 0.82 WHIP.

I would like to see a more extended good body of work from Lucas Sims before his popping off has weight.
It was he who was not good enough while he was here. But if his work stands the test of time, his points become more and more legit
Since his development here was under the prior regime and previous manager and PC maybe it holds weight.
The regime of Fredi Gonzalez did show young pitchers who burned out early or, just did not make it
And the dysfunction of both FO's under Wren and Hart/Coppy, well enough said.
