I doubt AA goes near upcoming free agents in case the season is cancelled, waste of prospects. So salary dump arms, a big splash for someone locked up for several years, or get some convo of Anderson, Weigel, Davidson, Muller, Wilson, Wright, and Touki. In a season with an asterisk and so much uncertainty I personally would choose the prospects.

Unless I could put together a real unlikely deal that brought a TOR guy here that was locked in for awhile, I would look at the existing roster or maybe a low cost longshot thing..
In fact, the only deals I would make now are deals I would have done had this not happened to Soroka. This season is such a snitshow that I would just say what happens during it is what happens, and not worry about it. Keep the franchise eyes on 2021 and the next few years after when things may be close to normal.
Plus while this is a huge blow, I'm not sure it means we have no chance at the post-season. Baseball is a funny game and if Tomlin can eat some innings and Wright can step up and pitch well enough to maintain his spot in the rotation, you never know what might happen.
What's funny is when he had his repeated slips on the mound last time out, I thought it was a bad omen. I was honestly concerned he could have twisted/strained or whatever something else that would rear it's head later.

Just gonna jave to send Toussaint, Wright, Anderson, and Davidson out there and not expect much. Its a 100% guarantee the braves get eliminated in the first round now, IF they even make it.

braves just announced it. Ugh. Whelp You called it. I knew it was bad. Non-contact injuries like that always seem to be. Offense is gonna have to score a boatload of runs.

We will get to get a good look at our pitching prospects. I'd rather go with that than to do something stupid at this point, especially given that this partial season is screwed up to start with. Patch it together, send the kids out there, and hope for the best.

braves just announced it. Ugh. Whelp You called it. I knew it was bad. Non-contact injuries like that always seem to be. Offense is gonna have to score a boatload of runs. Defense is going to have to be top notch too and just in the last two days we’ve been rudely reminded how exposed we are with Acuna in CF and Ozuna in LF. But the obvious fix is Adams to the bench, Ozuna DH, Nick and Duvall platoon in LF. The one issue there is this has Ender in CF every day even against LHP. We could push Pache now if we really thought we could contend this year, at least to platoon in CF, but I don’t think it’s worth it and don’t think we’ll do that. Charlie has played well in the OF but I don’t see him as an answer to platoon in CF. Maybe we can make a mid level type trade for a decent right handed bat to platoon in CF. But I don’t see that either, we’d probably just pray Ender would come around with the bat playing every day. Or just take our lumps with Acuna n CF. It’s not like he’s Ozuna bad out there.

I'd rather play Ender every day than have Ozuna in left and Acuña in center every day. Defense will be especially important now that we've lost our best starter. It's not a real season anyway, so why not just get a look at as many of the kids as possible? I've got no problem with giving Pache a look, in addition to the young arms. It would at least be interesting.

I’d love to go with Pache but if the pitching goes to hell it would be a waste to get his clock started early.

I’m not sure how that works. That article seems to be saying he’d be arb eligible a lot earlier at least. I’ll have to figure that out. Nightman would know but he’s too good for us now, snobby damned Californians.

Sounds like he will be, and when you throw in that there will be a new CBA in place by then, it gets even trickier, I guess.
