Question. When using the church league softball rule, is the first run of the inning an earned run? An earned run is not charged to the pitcher. I'm not sure if it's a blown save but I don't think that's an official stat anyways.

Fedde pitching for NATs. Strasberg scratched with nerve issue in hand.

Not to be overly dramatic, but Ozuna may have saved our season. Feels weird saying that after the 2nd game, but with such a short season, it may be true.

What happens if a guy is thrown out on the bases. Is that the guy that runs then? I am not so sure on that one Yea...just wondering what would happen if a guy got picked off or thrown out. Would it divert to the previous 'batter' who made an out or the guy who was running and made the out. I've only heard the term last out by a batter used. Maybe somebody knows. Lot's of questions with the new rules.

It's not such a crazy concept, because if I recall correctly, we play 10 games against both the Mutts and Faillies, and 7 are on the road against both of them. So we HAVE to win a bunch of road games against those two teams or we'll have no chance.

David O'Brien @dobrienatl Snitker said Melancon's back locked up before they even called to have him warm up. But not thought to be serious, Snitker thinks he'll be Ok to pitch tomorrow. Wanted to stay away from using Greene back-to-back this early; doesn't intend for that cautious approach to last long

However, had they been unable to comeback today, that would have put them down 0-2 to the mets with just 8 more to play with them, and 0-2 to start the season.. There is a little more premium on each game in 1/3 of a normal season.

It seems to me they should have found a way at worst to play two three game series in NY and Philly and then a 4 game series with each team in Atlanta. Instead we have to play a 4 game series in both of their home ballparks when they're each getting two home series and we're just getting one. I don't get that at all.

Good news, we were tied for last place, now we are tied for 2nd place and only one game out of first.

The Mets are a pretty good team. I don't like them, I don't like any NY teams, but they've had some bad luck with pitchers.

Yeah completely unfair to me. Could jave done a two 3 game series home/away, and two 2 game series home/away. That way it's an even 5-5 split. Unfair to me to have to play 60-70% of the games at the opponent's ballpark.
