1 year of Mookie at 29 mil. I think we could get him for Wright and Pache. Acuna Albies Freddie Mookie Travis D Riley Swanson Ender If you say he’s a 7 WAR player, that’s about $56 million in value. Subtract the $29 million and his surplus is $27 million. Plus, you have to account for the fact that you’ll only have him for one-year, and then have to compete with all the big spenders to retain him. There is no scenario where the Braves should trade Pache for him, let alone Pache AND Wright. But this is why IF he does get traded, which is seriously doubt, it’ll be at the deadline, because a team might make a stupid deal due to being in the hunt and want that one piece to get over the edge, but it won’t be close to a deal like that. Another way to say it, if a team even comes close to making a deal like that, they will severely regret it, UNLESS, they are able to resign him. Braves, IMO, would have zero chance of resigning him. He’s gonna get north of $250 million. Braves won’t pull out a deal like that until Acuna becomes a free agent and they got that sweet sweet TV money.

Tell me that lineup isn’t a pitchers nightmare though. I agree it’s an overlay and it’ll never happen before the season but you’d love that lineup wouldn’t you?

Dude, I’d cream on a nightly basis if I saw that lineup for 162. It’s great rosterbation, for sure. If I’m gonna rosterbate, though, I’m thinking about a pure TOR pitcher. Braves need that so much more than they need another bat, especially if they’re able to resign JD.

If Mookie leaves Boston and no longer plays in AL east his war will drop to 2.5 to 3.5...unless he goes to NL central then it will be 4 to 5. His power numbers will decline a lot

Wouldn't it help a hitter some to get out of that division in that regard?

yeah but don't they have a couple of hatbox sized fields up there? Yes but maybe the factors kind of offset to some degree. Perhaps the machine man has a machine that can give us some clarity.

Uck is proposing the pitching is not weak Tampa Bay was 2nd in all of baseball, I actually thought the Yankees were better than they are. Boston and Toronto are in the middle, Baltimore sucks. So I was wrong. Ho hum. In my defense I wasn’t really asserting that division had strong pitching, I was asking. I thought they did but I wasn’t sure. I hate the Yankees and Sawks so much I don’t pay attention to them or that division.

Is there a site that shows home and away War splits? I was looking at his stats home and away and noticed his average was about 30 points higher at home and his Ops was higher at home.
