Go get Castellanos or Kris Bryant. Hell I would have settled on M.Franco as a free agent plug.

Castellanos is my top choice, trading for Marte next. Totally agree. Castellanos is the right choice..........assuming, of course that we can sign him. Donaldson done burnt his hand as far as I'm concerned. He's about $30 million too high and 1 year too long.

You can do worse, guess that puts Nick sort of on the bench The Donaldson thing is getting old, let him walk for the extra five or so mil, I am sure the Braves have done their due diligence & will not fault them one way or the other, I do not think they have been cheap in this case

Not one penny over 4 and 104 and even that is too much, if they have offered that and he goes elsewhere than Scruff him

I still think a combo of Ozuna/Camargo is better than Neck/JD.. And a lot less risky and cheaper

the bridge on josh is burned for me. The braves throw him a nice paychech, I would not resign him for more than 2 years. He owes the braves 1. 2 for 55 mill would be my offer.that would make the 3 years with him as a brave at 3 for about 75 mill nothing to sneeze at.

JD doesn't, either, the market does. You see, JD has determined his worth to be $110 million for 4 years, and it certainly appears that the market disagrees. There's an old saying about markets that is tried and true.............something is worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

and until we see the contract he gets, we don't know what that market value actually is.

OP is saying JD should accept what he wants.

I think he'll get 4/90ish, which is more than the 3/75 everyone else has been predicting he'll get. If it ends up being 4/75 then I would completely agree with you.
