Well it's about to be interesting now that Snit publicly threw Acuña under the bus. In the presser flat out said "you can't do stupid things like that and expect to win".

Yeah that was when the opposition was on their 3rd position player on the mound and he wanted to bat left handed. Pretty sure that was the game Rizzo struck out Freeman and everybody was mucking it up out there having a grand ole time, until the Fun Police showed up when Acuña wanted to have some fun.

This finger wagging game was May 21dt against the Pirates, I had to go back and look it up to find where I had posted that video the first time.
But Snitker needs to wag his finger at Freddie like that the next time we play the Mutts and Freddie and deGrom are making goo goo eyes at each other all day and giggling like a couple of 12 year girls with crushes.

For the record, Snit is just as dumb today as he was yesterday......wag a finger at Freddie? Have you gone mad?

So, who do we replace Snit with? Do we go outside of the org and get a fireplug who pretty much changes that has been the "Braves Way" we have had for the last 30 yrs?
Bobby Cox, Freddie and Snit have all been in that mode. Is it time to go outside of that
Washington - he has been around for a little while but is not really in that same mold of the last 30 yrs. I would like to see him be the interim mgr for now
As for Acuna, he is the one player for his mistakes is keeping us relevant. He is the only OF we have now that is a legit starter. More part of the solution than problem.

I don't know if there's any call in radio shows in the Atlanta area where real fans actually address real topics, but if there are I would imagine AA would be catching hell right now for being the guy who put this bullcrappen together.
The call in shows (or sports listen shows as they are now) do not even take callers anymore. They have a stupid Text line The hosts get off topics like movies and hotties and other nebulous stuff I used to be a caller when we had real sports talk (And I did give em hell) but do not even listen anymore since the style of sports had changed several yrs ago. Some of these hosts are more interested in being clowns than real sports talkers. They seemed to hate the callers. I will tell you this crap format would not be tolerated in a Northeastern sports market. That is the sports radio I was weaned with and there were no heros beyond accountability.

Well based on the quality of the callers for these shows, I would probably stop taking them as well.

I'll post this again because it should be said twice:
Todays decision to not let Tomlin or Newk take one for the team in light of our schedule shows exactly why Snitker is such a sub-par manager.
Matzek is not going to be used in game 2 today. He will only be available to pitch in 1 of two games tomorrow. Having pitched two days in a row, he will not be available on Tuesday.
So one of our very few effective relievers has effectively been ruled out of 3 of our next 4 games, all in exchange for 1 inning in a blowout loss.
He is not a good manager.

You would think he should have had a plan to cover every situation before the game ever started--for instance, if we were still in the game, down by 2 runs, he could have used Matzek there too if he had it in his head that he could use one of his better relievers in game 1 if the game was winnable. To go with Tomlin was nuts, but then to burn Matzek after all was said and done just shows how clearly inept the man is at making X and O decisions.

Unfortunately the winning 2 meaningless division titles(pretty much meaningless when ya can't advance past the first round with em) and 1 division title leading to a NLCS berth they were so very close to winninh in a 1/3 of a normal season probably has Snitker safe in the eyes of AA and Liberty Media(they don't care about the on field product anyway, just investment stock for them) so I figure he gets at least 2 more seasons.

I don't think they fire him either...
I also think the players are always the ones that perform or don't perform, and win or lose the games.
I'm just pointing out once again there is a good chance a Matzek would come in handy as the better choice to use in a couple of the next 3 games, and he will not be available because we wasted him in a blowout loss.

Players perform or don't perform, that is true, but you still need a good manager. The Braves don't have a good manager. They have a good guy.
