Pros: Great guy and the players love him.
Cons: -Never rests his players accordingly especially with the depth he had at his disposal. -Can’t manage the bullpen to save his life. -Soroka pitching twice was a no brainer from everyone’s perspective. -Preparation-Nick hesitating to throw to third on a fly out, easy bag taken. -Preparation- Keuchel not checking the runner at second, easy steal. -Preparation- teaching the young kid to not put his head down every god damn time he’s running the bases or on base. Acuna missed out on several extra bags on top of getting caught. -Preparation- does anyone on the team know how to bunt? -Preparation- Cardinals had drastic changes in game plans but we had hardly any adjustments.
Would like to keep him in the organization but in some other capacity. We need an analytical manager who can stand up to the likes of Freeman and say you are sitting out, this is about the team and the playoffs. I’m sure the league will go back to the ball that flies out of the park for regular season games next year but there will still be many opportunities to work on small ball skills needed in the playoffs. I don’t care if it’s games we are blowing teams out and work on steals and bunts. Just get it done because even the dodgers lineup could not produce with this “post season” baseball. The Cardinals sure were prepared, why can’t we be?

The Braves organization thinks we were in position to win the series (true) with Snitker at the helm, and players just didn't come through; so Snit is faultless and is going nowhere.

All valid points, but dude, it's really hard to take a post about getting rid of Snit seriously while staring at an avatar of the grinning mug of a manager 1000 times worse than Snit on his worst day. LOL

Ask Snit why the only thing that had Acuna's back was Flaherty's pitch

Ask Snit why the only thing that had Acuna's back was Flaherty's pitch Two things that will stay with me forever about this postseason: the ridiculous PC caving that took away our home field advantage for Game Five and not retaliating in a game that was long over and where the potential ramifications for us wouldn't have mattered in the least.

You can forget about Snit going anywhere. He got another manager of the year award today. Starts his best pitcher once in the NLDS and wins manager of the year. LMAO

Let's give Chip the announcer of the year award while we're at it.

It's nice watching Suzuki help the Gnats the way he has. He had another really good season this year.
Incredibly, he has the highest OPS of ALL catchers in baseball over the past three years combined.
But we chose Flowers over him, and I'm sure largely because Snitker loves Tyler so much.

LMAO Well, we need to be honest with ourselves. At the end of the regular season, which this award is based on, Snit got more out of his players than any other manager. Nobody picked the Braves to win the division.

Snitker is probably the best cheerleader among all managers in baseball, I'd be all for him getting that award. And I've acknowledged that aspect of managing counts a lot.
But he made LARGE tactical mistakes all during the regular season, one of which carried over into the playoffs, which included playing the "starters" too much.

All managers make tactical errors. They play 162 games. We just notice Snit’s cause we watched all 162. Granted, the media didn’t watch even a fraction of that, for any team, but the award is clearly based on end results, not in-game management. Braves weren’t picked to win the division, and they did. Those results are better than any other team for the regular season.
