Instead of spending money on 3B why not see in the Reds would trade Eugenio Suarez. The Reds are building a nice pitching staff and have a nice young replacement at 3B. Maybe the braves could offer Folty, Ender and Touki and get him. It would give the Reds a legit CF and deepen there staff.

Why would the Reds want to give him up? He's cost controlled until 2024 and the next man up is still in AA ball. He's a great player in that hat-box they play in.

Well nick senzel is a 3B playing CF.. We could offer Folty, Ender and Riley. That would be super hard to turn down. It would make the Reds better.
Think how good there SP would be
Bauer Castillo FOLTY Gray Wood.
That would be the best rotation in the central division by far
And if Riley could learn to hit off speed he would be a monster in that ballpark.
And Ender gives them a true CF.

I see Ozzie and Donaldson are Gold Glove finalists, which is cool. I have a question, though. How can GAPOZ have a negative SDI with only 4 errors all season? He doesn't make errors, he led the league in putouts, DPs turned, fielding percentage, and games played at his position, and he's 3rd in "range factor". Last year he was 8.5, this year (through 8/18), he was at -1.5 on the SDI index, which is a big part of determining the Platinum Glove winners. There's no way that this SDI is accurate. Makes no sense whatsoever......

Makes no sense whatsoever...... I've thought for years that two things are a joke--the Gold Glove awards, and defensive stats. So I have no answer for you. I do think more than the numbers of errors should be factored in, because obviously range and difficulty of plays matter, but I don't have much faith in any systems of defensive measurements out there. Markakis by the eye test tells me he's a slow slug with a real poor arm, and last year he was 11th among all major league RFers in defensive ranking, and yet he was awarded a Gold Glove. Pffffttttt. This year he ranked 30th among RFers defensively. So maybe he'll win another Gold Glove, who knows. I just go by the eye test with defense and ignore the numbers and who gets the Gold Gloves. Ozzie deserves one if they were legit, he's an outstanding defensive 2nd baseman.
I thought Donaldson was a little inconsistent with the glove. He made a lot of fantastic plays, and for a good part of the year made the routine ones, but he also had a few stretches were he muffed quite a few pretty routine plays. I don't see any way he deserves a Gold Glove for this year.

Sure it should be based on more than errors (or lack thereof), but that's the thing. GAPOZ was NUMBER 1 in 4 metrics, and number 3 in a 5th, and he's a negative defender? That's friggin absurd. It's like saying a guy who hits .300 with 40 homers and 125 RBIs is a negative offensively. Ridiculous. As much as I hate to say it, the only reason I can think of is that he uses a Wilson glove and it's a Rawlings award.

Yoshitomo Tsutsugo Should we be in on him? I think Yes. If we sign him and sign Donaldson. It allows us to Move Riley and Pache for pitching. And there is No way I would trade Fried for Bryant no chance.

Grant McAuley@grantmcauley As expected. However, the #Braves could still bring Billy Hamilton back in a reserve role. Kevin Seitzer would get an extended crack at helping the speedy outfielder continue strides he showed at the plate with Atlanta. Good glove, too.
Jon Heyman@JonHeyman Braves will decline Billy Hamilton’s $7.5M option
