Really a tough choice, no clear cut favorite
My choice for now would be Strasburg, you cannot overlook leading the league in IP (185 as of now) SO's (222) with the excellent 16-6 record
And the 3.50 Era, While a bit high for a CY Young award winner is not bad in this era of crazy offense, he still ranks in the top 15
The WHIP and BA against is acceptable too
Corbin would not be that bad a candidate
Usually I like to see an award like MVP or CY go to a team that is at least in contention though there are exceptions to the rule that is always a debate
The AL is quite clear, either Gerrit Cole or Verlander pick one or the other
Any others to elaborate on

If Scherzer can get to the 162 IP mark, I think he should win. I don't think Strasburg is in serious contention. His ERA is too high. If not Scherzer, it's truly a tossup between Ryu, Soroka, Corbin, DeGrom, and Sonny Gray

He is likely CY future if he ever overcomes that one bad inning syndrome, can see him being a 2.50 ERA someday

It might have been 3 weeks ago that you stated you were not sure Fried was ever going to be a reliable starter. Now he's a possible Cy Young type guy.
Okay..

If he has another bad outing before the end of the year or heaven forbid in the playoffs, the firing squad will return.

My love for deGrom is never ending. He should win it every year just based on principle. After he retires, they should rename it the Jake deGrom award. It's only right.

If he were only on a real contending team Last yr was one of those exceptions to my rule given how dominant he was, how he was only 10-9 the way he pitched was a sin He is the second best Met pitcher of all time second only to Seaver

He was going through a bad stretch but has corrected it You cannot spin 16 and 4 and an ERA of less than 4, would be more impressive if it were not for that one bad inning he sometimes has and he should correct it He is the one piece that won the Justin Upton trade though it took a while cause the rest of that deal did not do much

Yeah... i know he was going through a rough spot. That is my entire point... One or two rough spots and you go psycho saying the most absurd crap anyone has ever read.
