Muh-LAN-sun, froze Matt Adams with a pitch that even I could have hit. That was a smart pitch.

I didn't care for bringing in O'Day in this series, but it will be great if he can give us something.
I definitely didn't care for using Greene for the 3rd day in a row. Results were not great and he's gone for tomorrow. So we have to run Melancon out again if we need a closer.
With the 5-1 lead, I would have brought in Tomlin to start that inning. He usually doesn't walk people and they needed baserunners. If Tomlin worked out, we could have went 2 innings with him.. or used Swarz/Newk/Martin/Blevins in the 8th and then Melancon in the 9th. That saved a more fresh Greene to save tomorrow and pair with Martin as my main guys.

It was an odd time to use O'Day, but I guess we wanted to try him in a semi-low leverage situation, so I can sort of understand it, I guess.

The Braves being at home and the day off compared to nats coming off some exhausting games and no day off has probably something to do with the three straight wins. Nats find that fight within the game, but it has just not been enough.

Plus, my Tar Heels just beat Miami. They have a fine true freshman QB named Sam Howell. Finally, UNC football is worth watching again.

With the series won, we can use O Day to see what he has to offer
This division is pretty much won now, as it is its a try out for a post season roster spot
Greene should be rested tommorrow, same for Melancon, they can do some experimenting in the pen to see what guys have
They should be close to clinching a playoff spot now, what is that magic number has to be in the single digits now
Special win in this series, as it turned out this was a surprise team. I did not expect more than 85 wins going into the season, the roster got better as the season went
And we did not know that Fried and Soroka would be able to do what they did, the top of the rotation was expected to be Folty and Gausman going into Spring training
You never know but this is quite an accomplishment this regular season

O'Day needs to get right back out there, and other guys need to show what they have. This team is young enough to keep getting better, has some veteran stars, and solid pros on the bench. That's a nice combination. We're pretty good.
