Letting those runners take 2nd on defensive indifference is silly.

Rendon is having one helluva year. He is a GREAT player. I hate all gNats but I got mad respect for that guy and he scares me to death every time we play them.

A win is always a great win, the hitting was on - the pitching made it harder than it had to be but who can complain with a W
Something is going on with Swarzik as of late he has had some not so sharp games
If only Fried can avoid the one bad inning he could be a CY Young canditate, but 15-4 is 15-4 no matter how you spin it, ERA little high but you can do worse than 4.05. Swing and miss stuff is there, location most of the time 'cept for that one funky inning
Nats are not going away would be nice if they slumped some

Letting those runners take 2nd on defensive indifference is silly. Or, lazy guess they do not want to risk a bad throw to first and get into a bigger pickle Holding runners is something most late inning relievers do not work on

Swarzy hasn't been the same since he went on the DL. I think people underestimate what an injury can do to a pitchers mechanics. Same thing happened to Folty.
Acuña has been off... pretty much since the benching, but he has gone through these off periods before.. and during his off periods he still gets timely hits here and there. This game is a constant chess match of adjustments and readjustments. It's up and down, and I find it pretty shocking when people seem to totally forget that fact. Acuña will get hot again...
No reliever or first baseman has really cared about holding runners on which takes the 1st baseman out of his best defensive positioning with a run that doesn't tie or win the game. The out at the plate and not letting additional runners on is what is important.
This is baseball 101. Don't flunk that class.

You can always count on Max Fried to have that one bad inning, amazing he has the W-L record he has Don't know if he will ever be able to overcome this, he is what he is - his bad innings are getting tiresome and he should be Booed till he gets this corrected Leaving w/ runners on 1st & 2nd is not really that bad , I remember when Tom glavine seem to always have bad first-innings and I tried everything to fix it but if they end up working itself out and Max will figure it out also he has better stuff than Tom glavine
