He was doing pretty well until Flowers came in. He's been great with Jackson and Cervelli. I've not held back since day 1 of the Flowers re-signing, and I've talked all season about pitch selection and nibbling with Flowers behind the plate. When Flow came in, the entire dynamic changed and Folty became much less aggressive when ahead in the count. You think its a good bet that Flowers will not be back next year - last I checked it was a 6 mil team option or a 2 mil buyout correct me if I am wrong my thinking its worth the 2 mil buyout to say good bye and keep Cervelli and Mc Cann for a reasonable deal. Alex Jackson is still org depth I don't know if he can hit at this level but he is young and who knows, some guys bloom later like Christian Vazquez up in Boston Jury is out on this yrs first round pick he seems to have trouble with the bat maybe he gets better hope so or else its a wasted first round pick. Too early to tell right now

Given the Nats win, this is a great win - really was a must win given the way the pesky Nats are playing
They have to keep up those guys, September is no gimmie schedule
They had a good August but did have some losses vs some teams like Cincy and KC for example, turn a couple of those L's to W's and its 7.5 up instead of 5.5. Be more comfortable but coulda woulda shoulda means nothing - got to dispose of those pesky Nats the next month
Good luck guys

Brian Jordan wasn't holding much back on Tyler Flowers. It needed to be said. any link to that? or synopsis? Just saying he leads the league in passed balls and he's not hitting and also talking about his trust factor come post season. He also brought up how pitchers may be more reluctant to throw pitches in the ground because he's not blocking them. He was constructively trying to say he's been sorry for us this year and they brought up a possibility of that could be vision issues.
