I caught a glimpse of the game where Freeman got a 2-0 count on low pitches, then he swings over the top of a low pitch that was a ball, then he swings at another low pitch and grounds out. I was pretty disappointed with that bat with the bases loaded, but it happens. I hope these guys are rested for the next game. This is the part of the schedule that has bugged me the most.

Yeah, that was one of the worst at-bats I've seen from Freddie. The pitcher was under pressure and having trouble throwing strikes, and Freddie took every bit of the pressure off of him by swinging at that 2-0 pitch. Like you said, it happens, but Freddie knows better than that. You take that count to 3-0, and the odds of scoring skyrocket in that situation.

The team is struggling scoring runs right now and he was pressing trying to deliver a big blow. He figured 2-0 they would have to bring something into the zone and his desire to deliver a knockout blow made him decide to swing at anything that looked like it was coming near the plate.
It happens.

Yeah, it's kinda hard to fault Freddie. He's a great hitter. Like you guys said, it happens. We won 8 straight against the odds. Two of the NY wins could have easily been losses, and we didn't hit in several of those eight wins. I'll take it.
