And one that most people don't even know that David wrote:
I told a friend about the strange experience I had With benzedrine indifference he assured me I was mad......
The local Catholic mission offered rest for weary feet The priest heard my confession While his breath smelled just like wine He gave me the impression I was wasting sacred time

Love David Allan Coe and great lyrics but I still don't know where the Mary Magdalene being a prostitute thing comes from or originated. Is that a Catholic belief?

Luke says something about her being released from the power of demons... I think everything else is speculation.
There’s the whole Magdalene wife of Jesus thing, and such

There’s the whole Magdalene wife of Jesus thing, and such Yeah I would agree with that. The first I really saw it was in the movie The Last Temptation of Christ which isn't Gospel but a brilliant movie/book. a bit off topic but this is amazing to own if you are Christian. It's just so incredibly well done not like all those old dry audio Bibles, this one is really inspired and the word brought to life ..I love sleeping to it too. www.amazon.com/Word-Promise-Audio-Bible-Testament/dp/B001BXKVSQ

Georgia Satellites! There is a band that I have never given a chance and have always hated (probably unfairly) all due to that one song that was really popular in the 80's. I don't think I've even heard another song by them but all the goobers at school would play that one song over and over. lol
I hated Steve Earl for years too for the same reason...goobers and there Copperhead Road on endless repeat.

Keep Your Hands To Yourself (satellites) and Copperhead Road were great songs.....but once you hear them over and over and over it gets to be really irritating, even when it's good songs. I've mentioned this when we go to Steve Earle shows. The guy has written 100 songs that are better than Copperhead Road.....and when he does a show the crowd always loves and appreciates all of his stuff, but when he breaks into Copperhead Road everybody goes completely ape crap. To this day still. And I just cringe and can't wait until it's over, its just painful. Ugh. You can easily grow to hate a song you loved at first this way. And I do hate Copperhead Road now and have for a looooooong time.

"Keep Your Hands To Yourself"
LOL That's it. I'm laughing you knew the song I meant. It depends who is playing it too. There are always those few people you know who it seriously seems like they play the same 10 songs there entire lives and those were two of them. Paradise City being another one. I will keep an open mind and check out the Satellites though since you have great taste in music.

The two I posted, this one......a lot of their songs I just like their guitar playing.
