Anyone think he could become our next Ryan Klesko? I'm really hoping he can handle the OF in ST. He would make our lineup that much more potent if we could play him in RF and make Nick the 4th OF.
LF Acuna (R) 2B Albies (S) 1B Freeman (L) 3B Donaldson (R) RF Riley (R) CF Inciarte (L) C McCann (L) / Flowers (R) SS Swanson (R)

Why not give it a try, hope he does not get platooned so early in his career like Klesko did - Klesko got better in his Padres days

I would love to see that happen, and see this:’
Acuna Donaldson Freeman Riley Camargo Albies McCann/Flowers Inciarte

I think Riley has the potential to be good, but I don't see him as having an Acuna-type impact from the get go.
I see you've given up on ol' Dansby. I'm still holding out hope that he can make the same kind of stride offensively in 2019 as he did defensively in 2018.

The lineup will move around a ton this year but it will certainly be better with Riley in it. I don’t know about his food speed or instincts in the outfield but he has the kind of arm to make runners think twice about advancing.

I wouldn’t say I’ve given up on Dansby, I just think there’s a better overall option available. We could always flip flop Camargo and Riley in that lineup. I’m not sure if he’ll be Acuna but I’m pretty sure he’s going to be beastly.

And the thing about foot speed and arm, he can’t be any worse than Nick in those regards, despite that farcical gold glove from last year.

I hope it works out with Riley in the OF... just don't want to mess him up. Chipper hated his time there... the Braves thought he was athletic enough to play anywhere, but he provided negative defensive value there and his ISO dropped to it's lowest level in 5 years.

Well hopefully Riley isn't a delicate snowflake like Chipper.

We might see Riley at third by August cause my gut hunch is that Donaldson will be filpped for prospects at the trade deadline
Just my hunch that there will be a regression for this yr. Team is so young that is not the end of the world

Team is so young that is not the end of the world I hope your gut is wrong. If Donaldson is traded it will be because we are not in the playoff hunt. AA is going to have to answer for this offseason if that happens.

I think Riley needs a little more seasoning in AAA. Nothing major, just a bit more experience. I have no issue calling him the Braves future starting 3rd baseman.
Did y’all catch the vid of him talking about spending time with Pujols and AP telling him to use his legs more? AP said if Riley could do that he’d be able to tap fully into his power potential. Who wouldnt take the advice of probably the best HR hitter of the last 20 years? Riley made it seem like he took the advice very seriously. That’s something I’d like to see him work on in AAA this year.
