Georgia wins and Braves win. Nice way to kick off September.
Who's your team and your thoughts on week 1?

UGA
Not much to say when you play Austin Peay.
Glad to get out healthy. RB depth is crazy. Supposedly next week at SC is a trendy upset pick.
I doubt it will happen, but we lost a ton of defensive starters from last years team.
I'm glad to get the CFB season started.

Penn State eked out a squeaker over App State, who impressed the crap out of me. Their QB kept making play after play and some with guys right in his face. APP State is very athletic and fast with some highly skilled athletes on both sides of the ball. I think they're going to be pretty good. I would be surprised if they lost more than 2 or 3 games this year and they may only lose one or none the rest of the way. PSU has a lot of new faces on defense but I think they'll get better as the season wears on. There is so much speed and skill it's just a matter of proper reads and positioning and coaches putting them in situations to take advantage of their abilities. QB Trace McSorley was...well McSorley in the final minutes and returner/receiver Hamler is a force. Several really good RB's in Miles Sanders (Rival #1 all purpose back in 2016) and Ricky Slade (Rivals #2 all purpose back in 2018), a true freshman. Also Micah Parsons from Harrisburg, PA right across the river here in central PA (#1 OLB Rivals 2018) and PJ Mustipher (#6 Rivals defensive tackle) are two freshman getting immediate playing time. PSU finally wore down App State in OT to earn the win.

Yea...I was a big fan of D'Andre Swift when he played at St. Josephs Prep in Philly. Amazingly talented back. I thought Penn State might have a chance but he picked the Bulldogs early and never wavered. Not as good as LeSean McCoy (the best I have ever seen in high school) and Ricky Watters, both of whom I followed while playing at Bishop McDevitt in Harrisburg, PA but very good, nevertheless.

It's pretty amazing to lose two backs like Chubb and Michel, and not worry at all about your running backs.

and UGA bulldozed the chickens in the 2nd half.
Clemson held on to beat A&M
Ga Tech lost a wild one to the South Fla Bulls
Fla State escaped Samford... yeah you read that correctly..
Other than that I didn't see a whole lot that interested me this week.
