Kolby cheese isn't the answer tonight, either. This just isn't our night folks. To be truthful, Allard hasn't been the answer any time he has pitched. Using him in a blowout is the only way he should pitch at this point. He's just not very good!

This is why blowing the game last night was a big deal. You can't lose games like that.

Right now, Colorado is playing like they're trying to keep pace in the West and the Braves are playing like they don't realize they're in first.

If Charlie isn't going to be in the lineup, maybe he can go to the bullpen

I see we have many ready to jump off the bridge again. The way I see it, we're very lackluster tonight. They're acting like they're still dwelling on last night. Plus, Duvall is pathetic and Newk should have been gone two innings ago. We have Bobby Cox Jr. in the dugout leaving a pitcher in that doesn't have it and they keep chipping away until the game is out of reach. jmo All that is very true... my only point was that a couple or three weeks ago when we dropped out of first, there were some here who were almost just throwing in the towel on the entire season. It wasn't time then, and it isn't time now. This team has been reslient all year. ------------- What ticks me off so much isn't this game.. It was last night when Dansby and Brach gave away a sure win... and speaking of Cox Jr.. All year the guy has played it by the book and last night he chooses not to walk the LHB and get a righty/righty matchup and wham we give up a two run game winning hit. We go on a little winnage streak and Dansby thinks he can just play lazy on a routine play. Two games prior we use Minter with a 4 run lead and then again the next day we have to use him again. 2 days in a row and then he's not available in a 3-2 game. We have just done some stupid and lazy things the past few days. It's not we've lost ability. Newk sucked tonight yeah... that will happen. However it should have been our first loss after a long winning streak, not our second in a row.

This is feeling like the series against the Giants all over again.

Snitker's biggest flaw is a major flaw. No one should deny his inability to manage the bullpen. I'm not exactly sure how many times our starters have gone seven+ innings. I think it might be only 16 - 19 times that I heard and on top of that we are a late scoring team. As a NL manager he does have some tough choices. Still as HMF points out these decisions aren't really hindsight they're just plainly the wrong choices.

I completely agree. And agree it’s not hindsight. Knowing the Colorado series was right around the corner, I knew it was wrong to use Minter with a 4 run lead. And it may well have cost us the first game of this series. And this is not an isolated incident.
