A think lot of people are just frustrated the we haven't opened up some ground while playing below .500 teams. This was a stretch of games where we could have gained 2-3 games on both the Phils and Nats. If the Phils win tonight they will have a better record in the last 6 games vs. the Nats and Yankees than the Braves have had playing the Reds and Orioles at home. THAT'S frustrating! It's a long season and we all need to remember that sometimes there will be ups and downs like the bullpen and Freddie struggles of late. Hopefully Freddie snaps out of it soon, Albies continues to hit, Markakis remains the old reliable, Acuna rakes when he returns and the bullpen stabilizes a bit to look more like May. Looking at the team as a whole we're in a good place. Camargo is doing a satisfactory job at 3rd and IMO it would be wasteful to give up prospects to get someone who may be marginally better. Culberson has also filled in nicely at several positions. I think the real need is in the bullpen. Viz, Minter, Winkler, Carle, and Biddle have been more than serviceable. If we can find a minor league arm or two and/or possibly pick up one or two decent (don't have to be great) relievers without giving up valuable prospects we should be in good shape. Good post.

So some people were crying about bunting yesterday, and some people were crying because we didn't today......how amazing......can you prove maybe that it was the exact same people both times? Was it the same people saying we shouldn't have yesterday but should have today? Can’t be bothered enough to care tbh I’d rather just cry about th bullpen. I never cry about bunting in a bunt situation. Culberson's AB in the 8th was a bunt situation, and since he's definitely a baseball player guy, he should have been asked to lay one down. I guess Snit figured he'd hit another late-game homer. Whatever happens there, this loss is squarely on the bullpen. The offense can only overcome so much.
