UP NEXT:
Mets: RHP Jacob deGrom (4-1, 1.57 ERA) leads the majors since April 21 with a 0.81 ERA -- a span of nine starts and 55 1/3 innings -- but New York has lost his past four outings. He is 5-3 with a 1.84 ERA in 14 career starts against Atlanta.
Braves: Snitker said RHP Mike Soroka will be on a 90-pitch limit while returning from a shoulder strain that's sidelined him since May 12. Soroka made his first career start May 1, allowing six hits and one run in six innings to beat the Mets in New York.
TRAINER'S ROOM:
Mets: Cabrera was back in the lineup, going 0 for 4 after leaving Sunday's win over the Yankees in the third inning with left hamstring tightness. Callaway said he will likely give Cabrera an off day Wednesday.
Braves: LF Ronald Acuna Jr. is hitting off a tee, swinging in the batting cage and running, but has yet to resume what manager vigorous baseball activities. It will be Thursday, at the earliest, before the 20-year-old begins a rehab assignment. Acuna, sidelined 14 games with a left ACL sprain and bruises to his left knee and lower back, said through a translator that he feels no pain when he runs, swings and throws.

Mark Bowman @mlbbowman Folty felt some triceps tightness as he completed his bullpen session this past weekend. He described tonight's discomfort level as 1 out of 10. Braves pitching coach Chuck Hernandez didn't want to take any chances. Folty is very confident he'll make his next start.

A 90 pitch limit for Soroka? He'll hit that in the 4th inning.
Seriously, we need to find a way to scratch a couple of runs off of deGrom, up his pitch count, and get into their bullpen. We really need to take care of business and somehow win this one. A split against a struggling team is not going to cut it.

If we lose to deGrom, there's no shame in that. The dude can pitch.

The Braves have won all 3 of his starts against them this year, so the odds are firmly against it happening again today. Just sayin'.

Braves Lineup
1. Ozzie Albies (S) 2B 2. Dansby Swanson (R) SS 3. Freddie Freeman (L) 1B 4. Nick Markakis (L) RF 5. Kurt Suzuki (R) C 6. Charlie Culberson (R) LF 7. Ender Inciarte (L) CF 8. Johan Camargo (S) 3B 9. Mike Soroka (R) P
Not a big fan of this lineup. I know it's a day game after a night game, but I was really hoping Flowers would be in there today. He has better numbers vs. deGrom (4-11 with a HR and 3 BBs) vs. Suzuki who is 0-6. And I would have flip flopped Camargo and Culberson. Johan is more likely to run into one than Charlie.
