“To the 37-year-old Bautista’s credit, he worked his way to the Braves rather quickly” LOLLERZ!!! A .190 BA is always deserving of a promotion to the bigs!

I think we'll be happy with Camargo until Riley is ready, or I hope so. I'm a big fan. At least we know he'll provide good defense, and he's always hit around.280. That throw last night was extremely impressive. We'll see how it works out.

I think virtually everybody knew it..........except for AA.
To his credit, he didn't let it drag on, so there's that....

The Braves, who already own the NL’s best record, just became a better team.
Thank you, AA, for finally seeing the light.
Go Braves!!!!

I liked the Bautista signing as a low risk move. Who are the other options at 3B? Camargo and Flaherty? Wouldn't it make sense to take a chance on a guy who was once one of the game's best players who is possibly not yet over the hill and have him start over two utility players? It didn't work out and Anthopoulos cut his losses.
Here's the deal: you never win if you never take chances. To Bautista's credit, he didn't cause the Braves to lose their first few games he was on the team. That was the fault of the pitching. Sure Bautista was paid less than Uggla, BJ, and Chris Johnson. Still I am happy to have a GM who is willing to cut his losses at the appropriate time and not hold on too long while merely delaying the inevitable.

I didn't totally hate what AA did, but it was clear we couldn't wait on his offense to come around with that defense he put out. He made up for his mistakes and helped us win a game and made a little impact after a huge costly error. I bet his WAR was right at 0 with us. fWAR -0.1

I had no problem with giving him a look, as they did with Ryan Howard. The only reason JB was not cut like Ryan and was given a shot at the big club was his relationship with AA. But we see how far that went....two weeks was enough to exhaust it and to AA's credit he didn't let it drag on

I had no problem with us taking a look....
I had a problem with announcing the moment he was signed that the plan was to call him up as soon as possible and make him the starting 3rd baseman.... then he blew chunks in AAA and then had one homerun and they immediately called him up and did that very thing.
