Thanks for the updates. I'd grade the startup a 10/10. Keep it up, my friend. Also, great job banning holly right off the bat, solid move. ;-) EDIT: You unbanned him? I thought you did it on purpose. In fact, I think you should ban him like once a week, just for giggles, or just ban him on game days, lol. Also, it should absolutely say "Loves "1st ballot Hall of Famer" Chipper Jones" Double EDIT: The like feature is already a million times better than the one on the MLB board.  |

This is a free-board, and it has already shamed the MLB bored in every way regarding functionality.
I know I am biased, but I don’t know why anyone would prefer to stay there. It’s not even like that place is hopping
and this one isn’t. They might prefer anonymous and totally ineffective moderation or something, but I wouldn’t say no
to this place without giving it a chance. This is so much more functional and better structured, which seemed to be
what most folk wanted.

Realistically though you only need a couple more posters who talk baseball for it to take off as the other board only has a handful who really have conversations. I'd help more if I could but I've always been more of a random word salad not really know what they are talking about type member. |

I have been on the old bored for years, but rarely post. It has gotten awful for the most part, and am glad you've started a new forum.
I usually enjoy posting, but there is/was too much shite over there. It seems like the good members are migrating, and I am glad to see that.
My baseball background if anyone gives a rip:
1) Was a Phillies fan growing up (no I'm not Hollins, although I think he's awesome).
2) Been a die hard Braves fan since I moved to GA from Florida in 1989.
3) Not a sabermetrics guy (there's statistics, and damned statistics) although I love OPS and WHIP. I usually eyeball talent and I too, think Jason Heyward is awful (he should have been Willie McCovey).
4) I really want to see what AA does with the team (I think they should have brought in SOMEONE for 2018....throw a bone to the fans, Jeez).
5) I love SunTrust park and the Battery, but then again I live in Acworth.
6) I am relatively conservative politically and am a Florida Gator (don't hate) but rarely talk shite to anyone.
Again, thanks for starting the new forum. I do like good banter and plan to participate.

Many of us were fed up with the other site. They “improved” it and removed all structure. It has no features at all
other than the ability to type in words and post them. Then on top of that, there are too many trollish things going on
and almost zero moderator control of that nonsense.
I thought that Braves fans deserved better.

I agree, we as fans deserved better.
I get Austin Riley, and hope he is the heir apparent, but Moose THAT cheap? I gather it may have cost us considerably more, but Ryan Shrimp ain't exactly the answer, either. The Corey Dickerson non-trade was aggravating, also.
I hope AA doesn't get into the mentality that we had in the mid-late 2000s, where we had 2-3 good/great players, and a host of Keith Lockharts, Brooks Conrads, and Danny Santanas. Oh, wait, that's today.
I don't know what the answers are, but I'm not feeling it yet this year.
