Just thinking… how many more games would this team have won, over the years, having a Bruce Boche in the dugout. He’s in the top. I like Boche a lot. I don't know how many more regular season wins we would have as we really can't complain about that, but I wonder how much better we would have been in the post-season. Meanwhile.. Nard-dog Yeah, not thinking so much as currently with this elite offensive team, but with the teams that were good but some bone headed moves in the dugout made the difference. That playoff game with the Cardinals comes to mind where (name doesn’t come to mind) refused to put Craig Kimbrel in the game before the 9th inning. I know all managers lay some goose eggs but Boche has great baseball instincts… he’s proactive vs reactive.

They all make mistakes and sometimes moves just don't work out, but I agree completely about the instincts. I think he pretty consistently puts his teams in the best position to succeed. ---- Got what we needed out of Salty tonight. Great win.

Good pitchers get even better when the pressure is on, what can you say.
I'm pretty sure Harris' left foot was either on home plate or right behind it when his bat made contact on his bunt, it was so far out of the batters box. Really surprised Eovaldi didn't say something, it's really noticeable from the mound.
I just replayed it and his foot appears to be on the batters box line when he makes contact with the ball.

I don't know, I might be using my pitcher's bias, but I'm calling that out of the box, lol.......the ball is just now hitting the bat in this picture. I'm pretty surprised Eovaldi didn't tell the dugout to look at the replays because it was really obvious he was either of the box or really close when it happened. A pitcher should instinctively recognize it when its that bad. I couldn't rewind the stream I was watching and they never showed any replays, it actually looked a lot worse when it happened, but that's because it was pretty blatant.

If any part of his shoe... even a millimeter of it is still touching the edge of the box, then he's okay. That picture certainly looks like if anything is touching, it would indeed be just a millimeter. Certainly they could have challenged, and it would have been interesting to see what happened. It it "clear and convincing beyond any doubt" to overturn the no-call on the field?

All true, and as we all know there's no telling how they would have ruled because there's so many situations that are clear cut and they still get it wrong.
My reaction to it was mostly the fact that Eovaldi didn't notice it and tell the dugout to check it--when it happened it was so fast, and with no replay I thought his foot was at least 3" completely out of the box it was so blatant. When you pitch a lot and something unusual happens it really sticks out, I'm surprised it seemed to get past Eovaldi.
