Only 4 games ahead of LAD. Ozzie is a little banged up (as so they said) But this was a game where the Mets made the plays on D.

It has been said before, Snitker is a disciple of Bobby Cox. And for Bobby it was always about winning series. So if you have won the first two of a three game series or in this case three of the four, you are already thinking about the next series. How can I save my best pitching assets for the Yankees series. By pitching Chirinos and McHugh tonight…even though it means we probably take the L. Fans want to win every game…managers know that won’t happen. That's true, but I still take issue with using your best relievers in blowout games leaving you basically forced to use McHugh when a close game occurs the next day.

The sad thing is McPuke is a lock for the playoff roster. Veteran presents. They're suck ass presents, but they're veteran presents so they give Snit a chubby. Now, now...AA is one sly hombre. Remember? Don't lose faith. One lose doesn't negate one helluva bullpen he put together. However, I wonder if Lorenzen might've done slightly better than Cheerios tonight. But who cares... this was just a throwaway game. Plus that might've taken the 30th best Braves prospect. Yes yes.... If the Braves had only bothered to call... they could have gotten Lorenzen for their 30th best prospect instead of the Phillies getting him with their 5th best.

And for whatever reason, Sarge just can't bring himself to admit that McHugh is not a high leverage guy. He might have been at one time, he might be again, but he ain't now.

For the sake of accuracy, fangraphs had him rated as their #7 prospect. But who's counting? So Darius Vines wouldn't have been worth getting 2 months of Lorenzen to fill a gaping hole on the best team in the league? Don't bother answering. AA did that already.

You're making some really bad assumptions, starting with the fact that you have no idea what AA tried to d o, you just take it upon yourself to assume that he didn't try. Also, what makes you believe that our #7 (Vines is currently rated 10th, but I digress) is as good as their #7? You do realize that the Braves' system is quite depleted these days, don't you? Finally, Lorenzen has a career WHIP of 1.299, which is just about exactly AVERAGE. You seem to assume that he has suddenly become an ace starter, which is possible I suppose, but highly unlikely.

Multiple other sources had him ranked as high as #5, and just for the sake of accuracy... your normally hyper-hyperbolic claim was that he would have only cost the Braves their 30TH ranked prospect.

Actually, I never claimed that it would have cost the Braves its 30th best prospect. That was your doppelganger Fumbleduckery who sarcastically said that. Check it. At any rate, I'm sure AA is banking on a healthy Fried. A somewhat healthy Wright, and a resurgent Soroka. But even Lorenzen out of the pen would have been a huge perk...

The state motto of Pennsylvania is “Give me Michael Lorenzen or give me death.”

Ahh yes, because I responded to a post you made mentioning something you had typed.
The reality though is that you do act like we could just go get anyone we want if we just wanted to do it. (We could have given them our 10th rated pitcher and they would have taken it over the 5th(to 7th) rated prospect deal they took). You do this constantly with zero knowledge of what we tried to do.
I am not the only person here who has called you out on it... and neither is Uckery.
