Once Snit got Olson out of the 2 hole, it's hard to complain about batting order or anything offense related. Didn't he bat Acuna 3rd or 4th for a month a couple years ago. He was great at leadoff the year before and it just wasn't the same. Why mess, with that? Once he was moved back to leadoff the team took off. In 2018, Acuna batted in several different spots until settling in at leadoff. In 2019 despite his success at leadoff, Snit moved him to cleanup for around 30-35 games.. it was a little longer than a month. The results were not great and it was obvious Acuña wasn't happy with it. He eventually moved him back to leadoff where he has remained..: I'm pretty sure.

I haven't looked at the standings lately, have the Faillies passed us yet? I just remember they were breathing right down our necks a few days ago....... 2 days ago we were doomed.

2 days ago we were doomed. Well admittedly it was really only one person who has a proven track record of not understanding the ebb and flow of a 162 game season.

There’s no denying he knows a lot about pitching, but he definitely needs an edit button … I’d imagine he knows that what he says will get back to Strider… maybe it’s his method of skirting the pitching coach without trying to meddle.. but, take a breath John, it’s not the Smoltz Show!! He acts like the entire viewing audience are brand new to baseball and he has to teach something on every little thing that happens. Over analyzes everything, a really annoying motor mouth. That is all true, but his comments about Strider were spot on. Several times he said exactly what was going to happen with him, and it did.... and played out exactly as he said it would (not in Strider's favor. He's got a ton of knowledge, he's just not savvy about broadcasting. It seems he just seeks to overwhelm the audience with an onslaught of words. That's why it comes across that he thinks the audience is completely ignorant.. he seeks to fill every second with commentary. He needs to just learn the art of silence. Let the visual speak for itself during the routine.

Honestly, though, the failies concern me. They're pretty damn good and they have strong starting pitchers. I'm not really worried about the division, but damn I don't want to lose to them in the playoffs again.

Yeah... to a degree. ... but lot's of fans don't crap themselves every time there is a bump in the road for a team with the best record in MLB.

I didn't hear what he said today because I have to have the sound down when he's on.
He's never going to change because he's been doing this for a long time now. Every forum I read everybody agrees he needs to tone it WAY down. You'd think he and his bosses would have heard it thousands of times by now.

How far was that Ozzie upper deck blast?? I’m trying to understand on why did Iggy pitched, up 6-0. He hadn't pitched in 3 days and Sarge wanted to get him work in order to keep him sharpe. The necessity of that is debatable with another game today and then no break before the Yankee series, but that was his reasoning.
