Amazing, Riley swings at 1st pitch and singles. I thought he never did that! 1st and 3rd, no outs! Yes, maybe he decided not to be bullheaded. Too bad Olson hit into a double play. D'Arnoud homers.

Not sure why we stuck with Bryce so long. He was really struggling to find it today. It's not like we need to save the bullpen. Now it's going to be very difficult to come back. SMH

Good article about Austin Riley's hitting. It's June 19 but seems to still apply. Riley is being bullheaded. He come to the plate with a strike already on him and only two left to play with. His refusal to swing at the first pitch where ever it is is hurting him. The pitchers know he's not going to swing at the first pitch even if it's a strike. This is a quote from the article about Riley's hitting. "Mags (assistant hitting coach Bobby Magallanes) said this a couple of weeks ago and I loved it — the only decision a hitter makes is ‘no.’ You’re, ‘Yes, yes, yes,’ until you say ‘no.’ So it’s not, ‘See it, see it … yes,’ or ‘See it, see it … no.’ It’s ‘go’ and then say ‘no.’ And that’s how you have to hit.” and Riley certainly isn't doing that. This is the entire article www.si.com/mlb/braves/news/what-is-wrong-with-austin-rileys-offenseAnyone who says that Riley never swings at the first pitch simply doesn't know what he's talking about.
