Pache couldn't hit the ocean if he fell out of a boat with us. Now he looks like a world beater. He was an under the radar pick up for Philly. Nothing more than 9th inning defensive replacement... Things certainly have changed. Nothing irks me more than former Brave prospects working out for other teams...and the Phils in particular.

Pache, remember him, just hit a 2 out, 2 run HR to cap a 3 run rally and the Phillies lead the Marlins 4-3 going to the bottom of the 9th. Who do we want to lose …more? Right now, the Marlins as they are the closest. We are now 9.5 up on the Marlins and the Phillies stay 11 back. We just increased our NL East lead by 1 game tonight.

Phil's could be quite a problem in the playoffs Like last year? Hopefully Fried and Strider are healthy this year for the playoffs and despite tonight this offense is much better than last year also.

Besides, we're looking pretty good in center field.

The Phillies let Moniak go and he's doing quite well for the Angels hitting over .300 with 9 HR in ~140 AB.

Gotcha .. somewhat rhetorical question We seem to handle the fish better than we do the pfilths …so, at this point in the season, I always root for the pfilthies to lose

And it seems as if his talent might be finally catching up to his potential. As a side note, my disdain for the Phils irks me so much more when they win a game like this... than the joy I get when the Braves win. That will never change unfortunately...

He also sucked for Oakland in 4 times the number of appearances and number of games he played for the Braves. "Things certainly have changed" based on the number of at bats he's had with the Phils is an absurd take at this point.

It's happened to a degree with Arcia, but he was never as bad as Pache, either.

Maybe I overstated his performance slightly for this year considering his relatively small sample size. However, his whole career has been a small sample size so to speak. 22 games in 21'...91 games in 22' where he was not good...and 29 games in 23' where he is good... good ba..good obp...good ops+. So in light of this, I am merely stating a fact that this year "things certainly have changed"... It's called a truism.

Jeesh, this Rodriguez guy came in and kept the Rays in this, throwing over 45 pitches and was unhittable.
He had a 10.62 big league ERA last year and today was the first time he's been called up from the minors this year, and he just ate our lunch.
As a reward he was DFA'd today!

As a reward he was DFA'd today! Holy Crikey, he looked like a HOFer last night! I can’t believe that. What a miracle shot in the dark for the Rats for him to shut down the best offense in baseball like he did.
