WHAT.... A....DISGRACE. This is a joke. These guys look like the 75 Reds against us. 10 win team in which their starters only have 2 wins. This path is unsustainable for the Braves...plain and simple.

Unfortunately I had us losing this one. Got screwed by the schedule.

Their closer with an ERA over 8 shuts us down.
Did this game really happen or was this just a sadistically bad dream I had?

I've ripped bubble farts in the bathtub that were more impressive than our performance tonight.

People......
Look... we had to fly to the west coast after a Sunday night game... we got there at 4 oclock in the morning and had to play at 5 in the afternoon.... after a series with a divisional rival.. and a team in the midst of an 11 game losing streak... with a pitcher throwing his first game in almost 3 years.
This game was sort of predictable as bad as it seems.
We're still several games up and haven't made any moves which we always make.

Thanks for talking me off the ledge. I feel so much better that a AAA team just beat us...

I agree with you, and I was kind of expecting us to have a bad game because of the ridiculous travel situation, but not like this. I could live with a bad game, this was just insanely horrific. When I wake up tomorrow this will just be another loss and I'm sure we'll be fine, but man, tonight it's almost surreal how bad we were tonight. We took a real beat down from one of the worst teams to ever step on a major league baseball field!
Your point about them beating Texas twice this year is also noteworthy. Really bad teams beat top teams frequently, we just don't point it out all the time, but it's common. It just happens, defying all odds, but it does happen pretty often. The Cubs just beat Tampa Bay tonight. Go figure.

The biggest thing is Soroka coming back and not suffering some injury again. He looked good, stuff was good, albeit his command was off at times. The pitch that ultimately gave up the game winner wasn't even a bad pitch. Down in the zone -- maybe just a bit too much of the plate but still not a terrible pitch.
Just an incredibly frustrating performance from a feast or famine offense and bullpen personnel whom shouldn't be on the big league roster(Luetge)
