I'd feel better about it if they had the trade capital to address the two biggest issues-- starting pitching and bullpen, but alas they don't. And therefore it feels like these next 6 weeks could well sink em if they can't at least hold their heads above water. Clutch hitting also remains an issue, but that rotation taking a hit and bullpen being unreliable outside of 3 guys definitely takes some of those early season good feels down a great bit.

Iglesias has been a solid closer for awhile, he's just coming back from an extended time off due to injury. I'm not worried about him at all in the long run, but we do have plenty of other legit pitching issues.

No doubt about that but the guy didn't even have a spring training and he's just pitched a few times since coming back. I just think he'll be ok in the long run once he gets back in the groove. We do have other legit concerns with our pitching. I don't know what the chances are that Bauer would leave Japan, but that would be a great way to address a big need. We need to stop relying so much on rag arm McHugh, he's just not fooling anybody anymore. Chavez is still ok, Tonkin and Anderson have been good, Yates has been good for awhile now, Lee has been good.....we just need a few others to pick it up or move some people out--Jiminez and McHugh have been bad and Minter has been killing us. I have no problem with anyone being upset that Iglesias blew it today and his last outing, but I don't think we need to be concerned about it down the road especially while we do have other real concerns about our pitching.

Need to fix our hitting. Disappointed in Olson & Riley.

I'm not worried about him at all in the long run, but we do have plenty of other legit pitching issues. He picked the worst possible time to suck today, though. We really needed this game. After his lengthy layoff, he needed extended time in Gwinnett ramping back up. It looks to me like his stuff is there but he just hasn't dialed in with control. I'm not too worried about him long term. I have bigger issues with other parts of the pen, our defensive and base-running blunders, Riley, and Olson's ungodly ability to not put the ball in play. All that, and I still think we have to add a starter.
