Atlanta Braves: Right-hander Owen Murphy (No. 8) has been brilliant in his first two starts for High-A Rome, allowing only one earned run on six hits and four walks in 12 innings with 16 strikeouts. Right-hander Spencer Schwellenbach has yet to allow an earned run in 11 1/3 innings over his first two starts. He’s struck out seven and walked one. It’s been a rougher start for right-hander Hurston Waldrep (No. 1), who has allowed 10 runs in seven innings over two starts for Double-A Mississippi.

For those regretting the Soroka trade... check this out.
There aren’t many encouraging signs early on for Michael Soroka. He leads MLB in earned runs allowed and has allowed 28 batters to reach base over just 19.1 total innings. To make matters worse, Soroka’s averaging just 4.7 strikeouts per nine. It’s been ugly...

"Strider had a bone fragment in his UCL. He was told it was likely there even before the 2022 season. He had some discomfort in March, but thought he might be fine after his breaking ball was so good on Opening Day. This was likely something he couldn’t have prevented." Via Mark Bowman MLB

The recent power outage from Acuña is somewhat concerning. Not sure if he even had a home run in ST...but he has only one so far. That's s lot of games with only one home run. His barrel rate is down. Strike outs are up. Whatever pixie dust was sprinkled on him last year, surely hasn't been so this year... so far. He's just too good to stay down. Problem is last year he had no down months. All were so good and consistent. Good news is the Braves continue to win without his bat...

Other than the stolen bases he has accumulated already this year, one might wonder if his knee bothers him (when hitting?)

"He’s being paid a guaranteed $6MM this season and is still owed $6.5MM in 2025 and at least a $1.5MM buyout on a 2026 club option."
Wow. Some very questionable moves were made this past offseason, especially in a financial sense.

How many games did he play in Venezuela?

Maybe he feels it will be fine… But I am concern about him, Olson & Riley..

Except that Ronald is so uber talented, he should still get 30/90 and bat .285 if he just showed up 5 minutes before the game. So there is something not quite kosher going on. I doubt its an injury since things like that are really hard to hide in today's social media... Just has to increase his launch angle some how I guess... Let's hope
