Snitker is at best an average manager and hard headed, when was the last time he made a move that helped win a game and how many times has he made bone head decisions that have cost us a game, how many blown saves does a guy have to have before he's replaced. It's not like we don't have any options. This is a ticking te bomb that will cost us in the division chase or playoffs, the road to the rest of the season is simple, use Iglesias as your closer. When Ozzie comes back, he's the 2nd baseman. Use Grisson in left for left handers, Grossman for righties with Rosario subbing. Bobby Cox would have already replaced Jansen as soon as Iglesias arrived, how can you win a 1 run game if a lead off base runner is a double because he can't hold a runner on 1st, opponents are exploiting that regularly. We have the starting pitching and early bullpen to make a deep run, just saying guys.

There's a lot of agreement on this site about that.

I think Grissom should play every day until his performance dictates otherwise. His transition to left field isn’t guaranteed, but my money says he’ll do well there, and it’s likely his long-term position if he stays with the Braves anyway. I’d DH Rosario every day, use gross man as a pinch hitter and 4th outfielder, and ship Ozuna to Siberia.

But I'll bet Grossman will play every day and Grissom will not. Grissom may get almost no AB's once Ozzie comes back. Snitker sees Grossman the way the rest of us saw Mickey Mantle.
And I'm going to keep dogging Grossman because he's not the stud Snitker thinks he is, and every time I dog him he does something good.
And Rosario is not going to bat against lefties the rest of the season or in the playoffs. It's true he's not had a good season but he had a brutal start with the eyesight, and who knows the adjustments he's had to go through since the surgery. But like I posted the other day, he has a higher career BA against lefties (.273) than righties (.270) he just hits for more power against righties. But Snitker had is in his thick skull now that Rosario can't hit lefties and that's the end of that. He's showing signs of coming around with the bat, and given his overall career to me you have to count on this guy to play every day. It's funny there's the undying unbreakable loyalty to some players......but not to others, even a guy who was a big reason you won the freaking World Series last year.
It's funny too that Snitker isn't playing Ozuna every time we face a lefty, but it HAS become a situation where Ozuna only bats against lefties now....and in 125 ABs against lefties this year his numbers are .184/.250/.224/.474 and he actually has a .745 OPS against righties this year. Good ol stats don't mean anything (execpt for the number of saves Jansen has) Snitker, lol.......

Top of the order September swoon:
Acuna .231/.273/.308/.580 Swanson .235/.273/.431/.704 Riley .174/.264/.435/.699 Olson 095/.224/.167/.391
Three of those guys have played just about every inning this season. Dansby had a .675 OPS in August. A smart man might begin to think maybe guys shouldn’t try to play every inning lest they get run down by the end of the season.
Just sayin’.

The fact is that we just won the World Series last year and are 88-55, one of the best teams in baseball, and about to play October baseball for the sixth straight season. Is the team or manager perfect? No. But all teams have issues and face their struggles in a 162 game season. And all managers make head scratching decisions that we as fans don’t always agree with. But again, the fact is that this team has been winning at in insane clip since June 1st, which just so happened to come after our lame brained no good manager pulled the team together and told them that they were better than what they showed the first two months. We haven’t lost more than three in a row all year. Yet a lot of people moan and groan like we are the 1988 Braves. I can’t imagine what a lot of you would be like pulling everyday for a team like the Pirates or Nats or Angels. I guess winning it all created a spirit of entitlement, but nothing is guaranteed, especially in baseball. Unlike many of you who have professed that you don’t enjoy watching this team after this latest brief rough patch, I enjoy watching this team and am looking forward to seeing them try to defend last year’s unexpected yet incredible championship. That’s going to be fun. What’s not fun is coming on here and hearing most posters nitpick over every little thing, win or lose. Just sounds like a bunch of grumpy old men whose sole existence is to yell at people and tell them to get off their lawn. Not really interested in that anymore. The bored used to be fun, a good place to actually discuss baseball and make fun of other teams and fans like Hollins. Now it’s just a 24-7 bitchfest and mostly a toxic place so I’m out.

Although it's more questionable than ever, I do think it's still a fact that this is America and we're all free to have our opinions and to express them, including you of course.
Venting on the internet is what people do.
You should have a tall cold one and sit in the shade for a little while and cool off.
You're one of the best posters here but man you sure are sensitive about anybody saying anything bad about the manager.
There's plenty of positive here and I've said hundreds of times I give a ton of credit to our players for overcoming the king's bad decisions.
Keep posting man, you're one of us, you're one of the first to start barking every time we fall behind that the game is over, we've lost. We all have our moments but we are bros, bro!

Freeman has missed 1 game all year and is hitting .372 with 4 HR 2 2B, and a .462 OBP with a 1.159 OPS this September!
Last year with Atlanta he hit .327 with 2 HR and 5 2B in the first half of September with a .421 OBP and 1.013 OPS.
All with roughly the same amount of plate appearances. Beside we just had 3 days off the first 2 weeks of September.

Everyone here complains about areas where we want to see the team do better. As long as people are not trolling (spamming the exact same post, failing to respond when people question them and then posting the exact same thing again), it's really not something I can control. Now I know you absolutely include me as being part of the problem because I have always had an issue with Snitker, but it does seem that you react to criticisms of him more than anyone else. Sorry you feel the bored is "toxic", but people are frustrated being behind a lesser team and they think that is largely due to bad decisions made by the manager.

Ok but it’s not typical just because one guy can do it. We also don’t know but it might take some life off the end of his career. The game takes a toll on the body.

Why is it so hard for numbnuts Snitiker not to know that Iglesias is the closer, no brainer, does Jansen have pictures of Snitker and Chip Carey in a compromising position?

With all due respect to you, f/uck Freeman. I hope he flames out in spectacular fashion in the playoffs, and I hope it's against the Braves.
