Regardless of what happens with position players I wouldn’t mind going after Kuechel next year. Let’s just fantasize that Folty gains some consistency then I’d be happy with a rotation of: Kuechel Folty Gohara Soroka Wright Keep our prospects on a slowed timeline to either replace or trade. Fried, Newcomb, Touki (barring he harnesses his stuff) to the pen with Minter and Kimbrel. Anderson Wentz Wilson Davidson Rolison (just a guess on our draft pick) All high potential arms to backfill for injuries. Very young team that would at least compete in 19 and look very very solid for the 2020 season going forward. All I know concerning the rotation, just like alot of y'all. I am over giving JT a chance. It just seems like he doesn't care anymore.

Realistically, I think Nick will be here all year and Acuna will come up within the next couple months when Tucker goes through a prolonged cold streak. What I hope happens is Tucker proves me wrong and we still have this same problem by the end of May.

At this point I wouldn't mind eating some of his salary. Surely he's movable because he's hitting so far. I feel pretty sure he'll regress to his norm, which has to be worth $6-9M for somebody out there right now. Worst case Lane Adams and Tucker seem to be a passable platoon. Tucker's swing looks so good I'd be willing to take my chances right now that these guys can be at least average for us the rest of the year. If neck continues to produce up until the deadline or at the all star break, maybe a team that thinks they need him as the final piece to a world series run will bite. The question is Preston Tucker/Lane Adams going to regress or will Nick regress. Whenever neck comes up to bat, I never think that maybe he will hit a dinger, it will probably be a single. The sense I am getting from preston is that he has more of an ability to get an extra base hit than neck. Either way, as of right now, the OF situation isn't looking to bad, but what will it look like next year. We won't know until next year comes. When next ST comes around we will be able to see the possibility of Pache maybe competing for a roster spot. Don't know if he will be ready for next yr but this kid is a legit prospect and he can be added to the mix. Lane Adams to me has pretty much established that he is a legit 4th OF kind of guy. Tucker, we do need to see more but he does have some pop. For next yr we have Ender and Acuna. And I do expect Acuna to go through some learning curve in his first yr, hey, so did Andruw in 1997 his first full yr. The future for the OF has some potential. And you have Drew Waters in the wings a couple yrs from now. The Pache thing is interesting.
