You and I both have no idea what happened. From what has been reported, the only thing we do know; Coppy refused to admit guilt or act recalcitrant in any way and got treated just like Pete Rose did for acting the exact same way.

It's entirely possible that Coppy hung himself out to dry, and say what you will of them; They built the foundation of this current team and of the organization for the next 10 years. No sense in living in the last though... their time has passed and the team is moving forward. True, they did get some prospects, but their management style in my opinion would not have built them into what they have become now. And who know who would be managing the team at this time. This is a good clubhouse who is playing for the manager and coaches in spite of a move that can be questioned here and there . The overall product is much better. That is my honest opinion, not a troll - I have been consistent about that from the beginning. And I have been consistent since they were gone -- once we got someone respected who is in charge I have not been as pessimistic as I was. What cemented this opinion is the way John Hart embarrassed Snitker in the clubhouse last August (that came out in the AJC later). It was more the way things were done in the prior regime and we have better baseball people running things with more channels of information (analytics department for one thing) that is helping the guys & they did it in a way that has not been done in the past And Alex is a proven 21st century GM that has better relationships with the media and other teams - a trustworthy baseball man is in charge now My point is the new people in charge deserve much credit for the improvement this yr, more than we think on the surface. The pride is brought back in what is now Braves baseball

That was in a story well publicized The scandal turned into a blessing -- I am just wanting to give credit where credit is due to the new people in the FO for creating an environment where guys are succeeding and credit the behind the scenes people for the improvement Of course I do not deny hating the process from the beginning when Hart took over -- it was the way it was done more than anything else

It's really too bad. During the rain delay a few days ago they had Paul Byrd doing this interview with Moylan in a coffee shop (apparently Moylan is a huge coffee connoiseur. It was really entertaining... Moylan seems like this great guy to hang out with if I wasn't constantly wanting to reach over and punch him in the throat for pitching so poorly. Moylan might be a great guy and in the past a good pitcher from time to time But he deserves to be Booed the way he has pitched in some games out of the pen Hey, right now as good as Newcomb has been, he too deserves to be Booed for his past two poor starts I am sure they are all great guys, but man - get the dxm job done We got to hope Newcomb finds his way back after these two p-poor pathetic starts -- he could be great with his stuff But right now he is on my S - List for poor pitching

Putting this out there, cause what happened happened, but the reasoning is unknown.
Cristian Pache and Jean Carlos Encarnacion were pulled at roughly the same time from two different games. Trade likely?
EDIT : Turns out it was coincidental. Both exited due to injuries.

I don't see Pache being traded unless it's a blockbuster. He's darn near our top prospect.

He is the heir apparent to Ender if he gets moved in a couple of yrs -- can't see him being traded for any rentals I have never believed any of the Manny Machado talk -- not for us. The Phillies, quite possibly. And they would be one of those teams that would step up and compete to sign him in the off season. WIth the Braves, we know if they get someone real good it a rental. I don't want any part of a deal that would include Riley and Pache unless its exceptional and we will not lose the guys in a yr or two

True, but the punishment Coppy got was over the top. You can't tell me that Hart didn't throw him under the bus. Coppy was a pretty stubborn guy, he was quite petty with some of the local reporters who dared to criticize him . They were both schmucks and they looked like one and the same I think Jeff Schultz said it best that he was overmatched for that job and Hart was around in a nicely paid cameo role -- what got me on Hart is his dress down on Snitker in front of his team - Nick Markakis who says nothing was ready to club Hart and would not have been unjustified. That was in a story well publicized The scandal turned into a blessing -- I am just wanting to give credit where credit is due to the new people in the FO for creating an environment where guys are succeeding and credit the behind the scenes people for the improvement Of course I do not deny hating the process from the beginning when Hart took over -- it was the way it was done more than anything else Our new FO has not made one good move yet. they have done nothing but slow the process that Coppy had made. The success this team is having is from Coppy. AA screwed up the Draft..which if you look he has done before in Toronto. He traded Kemp who may be the NL MVP. He built a horrible BP. and when he does Finally make a trade just like he did in Toronto they will all be Bad...Coppy was a Star. the Drafts He had and trades he made will carry this team for 10 yrs unless AA trades away all the pitching for broken down players like he did in toronto

I’m just gonna go ahead and say it...
Excluding cheating the draft system, both domestic and international, Coppy was a shrewd GM and very good at his job.

I don't. Sure, he's performed well above expectations for the Dodgers, but he's still Matt Kemp.

Not one good move?
Anibal Sanchez and Charlie Culberson would like a word.
