I have not heard anything real about any of these guys except the hope to be right predictions on the mlb website
There is plenty of quantity but not much in quality in any of the news on the top free agent guys, no one seems to be close
WTH are these guys going to do, sit on their tails and work out all yr - that its all gotten this far with all these guys unsigned makes no sense

BTW, as for Dansby, if he can OPS in the 750 range with good defense, isn't that good enough to suffice unless some real stud prospect can come through the system
He did have some pop last yr 14/59. That is not horrific for a shortstop
The OPS was .700, okay, 699. I see no reason he cannot do 750 to 775 and get the average to 260

He can hit - the problem is that he gets himself into bad counts by chasing junk. If he can improve his account leverage, his natural abilities will take over and he should be able to get the OPS in a respectable range.

That's true, but a big part of his discipline problem at the plate is his continued inability (so far) to recognize breaking balls. He's had so much trouble with that it has completely shattered his confidence up to this point.

Well dad-blammit.....now that's requiring you to log in to see that.
Here's a screen shot, and it does say he played for the Padres and Braves farther down the page.
