Medlen was one of the good guys. One more thing about Medlen. I accepted the flat bill because of him, it was hard to get used to though. I mean they still looked stupid, but I accept it's their style. I still hate them, but I hated it less on him because it added to what I perceived as his goofy personality.

It is nice to see Gattis succeeding. The Braves had no place for him since he was a DH. I'm glad that Folty is on the team. Rio Ruiz is looking like a bust though. All in all the trade appears to have worked out for both teams.

Where would this year be today if we had never traded Kemp? I say 53-55 wins:
1. 2B (S) Albies 2. CF (R) Acuna 3. 1B (L) Freeman 4. LF (R) Kemp 5. RF (L) Markakis 6. C (R) Suzuki / Flowers 7. 3B (S) Camargo 8. SS (R) Swanson
1. (R) Folty 2. (L) Newcomb 3. (R) Sanchez 4. (R) Teheran 5. (L) Gohara / Fried
Sims/Wisler as insurance
Anyway ... Seemed like the right move at the time, bit man ... In hindsight, I sure wish we had Kemp on this team right now. Thank God for Anibal Sanchez though, hope we can keep him in 2019. We need a veteran for Julio to turn to, can't bank on him being the wisdom of the 2019 staff.

Julio Franco is a hitting coach for the Lotte Giants in Gamhae, South Korea. He turns 60 in August.

Former Braves prospect C - Abraham Gutierrez is in the Phillies system. In 162 AB's he slashed a line of .315/.362/.407, .769 OPS, 10 doubles, 1 triple, 1 homerun, 10 walks, and 16 strikeouts.
It sucks we lost him, he'll most likely be a major leaguer.

Kevin Maitan on the Angels rookie league team:
.243/.301/.390/.691 with a 76 wRC+
But he is still just 18 and 1/2 years old.

I hope several of our bullpen pitchers are part of this tread next season, along with Adam Duvall.

Paul Runge
Drafted by the Braves in 1979, Runge spent parts of 8 seasons in the majors.. all with the Braves. He never played more than 52 games in any season and never had more than 110 at bats in any season.
Runge went on to manage at various levels of the Braves organization. He managed the Idaho Falls Braves in 1993, Danville in 1994, the Eugene Emeralds in 1995, the Macon Braves in '96, the Durham Bulls in 1997, the Danville 97s in 1998, Greenville from 1999 through 2001, and then back to the Danville Braves from 2005 through 2010. In November 2010, it was announced that Runge would be managing the Rome Braves which would have officially given him more Braves teams managed than MLB hits, but the ungrateful little prick chose to leave the Braves organization to join the Astros organization.
I seriously have no recollection of this guy, whatsoever.
In fact, this all sounds made up.
