If we had Kemp and Harper hitting behind Freeman he would slash 1.000/1.000/1.000/2.000

If we had Kemp and Harper hitting behind Freeman he would slash 1.000/1.000/1.000/2.000 Slaker is only getting on base 62% of the time and OPS'n 1.5 without Fat Kemp protecting him.

yikes, thought I would peak in on Fat Kemp after his good spring.. It is Faillies bad right now. Kemp had started slumping the last two weeks of spring training and has carried it into the season. If you want to talk about Faillies level failing, check out these batting averages so far for the 1-4 jokes: Santana .167 Nick Williams .091 Altherr .059 Herrera .154 Franco .091 Knapp .182 Crawford .067 We've scored the most runs in all of baseball with 48. The Faillies have scored 14. But in all fairness, we have played one more game.

Just to note... ya know that Culberson has a nice head of hair as well.
We are really loaded in that department.

I just don't like that half the time his C-flap is a different color from his helmet.

I will give Dansby credit for the early season improvement -- I did say that if he became league average (on the old bored) it would acceptable, if he is better than so be it. It took Tim Beckham a while to find himself
As for the Braves and spending -- as long as they keep the homegrown talent, nuture it and to not let it walk away after the 6th yr, that is fine with me
We had a couple of experiences with recent high profile UFA signs, like Melvin and the extension of Dan Uggla. Uggla was an honest mistake, Melvin was borderline stupid, though he did have 30/30 potential at the time. And I was fool in thinking of 2 30/30 guys in the same OF in Heyward (remember his 2012 yr) and Melvin in the same OF.
Even back in the good days for the most part we took care of our own, occasionally got a FA but for the most part it was taking care of your own and not losing players you needed. The only real great FA's we got were Maddux and for 3 yrs Pendelton. Brian Jordan was good, Sid Bream was good, but the FA model was not even in the Braves DNA in their highest spending yrs -- They traded for guys like Nagle, Mc Griff and Sheffild, but FA's -- not really

I can't believe how lucky Dansby is getting. Chip and Joe tried to say he's been working really hard and it's paying off--there's no way that's true, Cheaters has been telling us all along Dansby doesn't try to get better and he would know so I trust him.

Chip and Joe are dimwits, but at least something is working right at the moment. Maybe it took a little humility to set Dansby abd his hair straight.
Personally though, I think it’s because he’s become a focus guy.

The fact that some of you guys wanted to basically cut this guy because of a bad rookie season proves how much we fans know most of the time. In case you didn't know that's nothing.

Eh... There were some who were over-the-top with their Dansby Swanson hate, but there were a lot of other people that were just expressing a fair amount of frustration.
I don’t hold anything against anyone that wanted to see us put the best lineup on the field every day last year, and that meant not including Dansby Swanson. I also want to see a full season before I make judgment on Dansby living up to reasonable expectations.

I look at it this way......Dansbo was promoted to dang soon. I don't think it's any more complicated than that. I also look at it this way......he got the crappy year out of the way when the Bravos were gonna suck no matter what, and that's a good thing. Now let's see if this is real or not. I'm thinking .270/15/70 with a .750/.800 OPS. We shall see......

Great hitters adjust pitch-to-pitch.
