Just one more win Tampa Bay, and the most hated team in the NHL will be out again.
Not sure why anyone would hate on Tampa Bay, they've played good and clean they've got all the ingredients. The Bruins have no one to blame but themselves and their quitting goalie.....who has already cost his team a couple Cups during his career, so how much of a loss was he really when he walked out?
I hope the fans in Boston will Boo Rask assuming he is back next yr, he has been a playoff choke. The cup they won in 2011 was Tim Thomas's cup

You know, there was a day....where this would have made for some really good laughs among teammates. I've had more black friends during my lifetime than white friends, and if we were in this situation, we would have made fun of the black guy and everybody would have gotten a big kick out of it. Similarly, if I were the only white guy involved and they all got fades they would have laughed at me for not being able to get one and all of us would have fun with it, including me. I spent my entire life finding the humor in literally everything, and whether I was with white friends or black friends, we were always joking around and teasing about anything and everything we could find. So things like this would have been golden opportunities for EVERYBODY to have fun with it. Now, there's just no fun allowed in anything. Keystone has called liberals out a bunch of times in the baseball forum for this, and I've never spoken up because I don't want to fan the flames with politics over there, but he's exactly right and I've said it too. These bastages are just freaking miserable people who spend every minute trying to find something to complain about and be victimized by everything. As always, f*** every one of them in the earhole for being such crybaby dipschmidts for milking the fun out of life.
Hell, Simmonds should be having fun with it himself, laughing at all the honkies for getting their stupid mullets!
I'll bet jah still wears a mullet.

I have zero interest in the finals this year. I've been watching the playoffs and will definitely be tuned into the finals. Game 1 is Monday night. I don't have any interest in these two teams, but it's going to be a good series. Both teams are playing really well. Like everybody else I expect the Lightning to win it, but the Canadiens have been playing great and just keep taking everybody by surprise.

Yeah... I just don't like either team.
I even rooted for the Isles to beat Tampa.

Watching the Oilers game after watching my A Maple Leafs beat Tampa...
ESPN has a woman announcer doing the play by play... It is unwatchable. It's just this horrible shrieking.. good lawd.

The Maple Leafs are your team? I don't think you've ever mentioned that. I always kind of liked them and Montreal, since I go back to when there were only 6 teams in the NHL. But man, what a rough go it must be, as many times as they've under performed in the playoffs over the years. They seem to be pretty legit this year.
None of the female broadcasters are bearable to me in the hockey broadcasts, just brutal.
My team, the Blues, just eliminated the Wild last night with another dominating game. The Wild finished the season something like 19-2-2 and were the hottest team in the NHL over that period. I was a little concerned because they are explosive offensively and we've had 4 injured defensemen......so our d corps was vulnerable. But the Blues managed to pretty much put their foot on the Wild's throat and controlled the last three games and knocked them out.
Big game 7 Saturday for the Bruins and Hurricanes. I hate the Hurricanes with a passion, the people here in NC did not support them when they were bad forever, then when they got good and won the Cup every person in the state was suddenly a Canes fan. They got bad again and were getting 6,000 fans to their games again for years. Now they're good and once again everybody is a huge fan. I hate bandwagoners.
I also hate the Bruins, which made it pretty sweet beating them in the Cup finals of course, so it's a toss up for me. But in this case I actually have to root for the Bruins so I don't have to put up with the obnoxious locals. My wife wants Carolina to win and go the finals with the hope the Blues would play them and we could go over and attend the games here. On one hand that would be a blast, but I had these fans so much I couldn't bear to do that and lose to them, so I just want to see them knocked out ASAP. The Bruins have been the Canes El Guapo in the playoffs, so it will be an interesting game.
Big game 7 in Toronto tomorrow night too. That was a rough loss for them in game 6. I could live with seeing a Toronto/Blues finals series.

Yeah... I fell in with the Maple Leafs when I became a hockey fan with the Flames. I hated the Canadians and actually the Leafs were one of the other teams I got to see a lot.
I mean I hated Detroit, the Flyers, the NY teams... and those with the Leafs and Canadians were the ones I always saw. I also loved that beautiful jersey.. still one of my faves.
I was a big fan of Lanny McDonald and Darryl Sittler back then.
..and did I mention how much I hated the Canadians?

I was a big fan of Lanny McDonald and Darryl Sittler back then. ..and did I mention how much I hated the Canadians? Oh man I loved the Canadians, they were just so good and fun to watch in the 70's. In my opinion. Back then the Blues were good for an expansion team but of course nowhere near as good as Montreal. I remember being maybe 10 years old and Montreal came to town, the game always sold out no matter how good or bad we were because the Blues have always had a great and very loyal fan base......and my dad took me and my sister over to a game one Saturday afternoon against the Canadians, and we had to buy standing room only tickets. We found a spot we could sit under a big steel girder, and we beat Montreal 4-3. It was super rare that we ever beat them and that game was really fun.
I always liked McDonald too. Always liked the Leafs jerseys and the Montreal jerseys as well.
I've paid attention to quite a few hockey forums all over the league through the years, and I've always gotten the impression that all Canadien fans hate the Leafs above all else because the fans their think the whole hockey world revolves around the Leafs, and my general impression is that no one else cares about them or idolizes them for that to say the least. I haven't had any personal experiences so I don't know if it's true. It seems like jah verified the fanbase there is really obnoxious. They've sure had to put up with a long run of not winning the Cup. Imagine how things were for me--the Blues had not won the Cup in 50 years until 2019, and the Braves had gone since 1995 without winning, and both teams were notorious for always being good, often times one of the best 2 or 3 teams in the sport, and then choking every year in the playoffs. It was brutal, then all of a sudden I get a championship from each of them just two years apart!

And it's official, Carolina eliminates Boston. The Bruins are a team in decline.

How could Leaf fans think that as opposed to Canadian fans? The Leafs do not have that sort of always winning pedigree. I always thought it was the Canadians fans who thought the hockey world revolved around them.
I liked the Blues as well... just didn't get to see them often.
I really love hockey jerseys more than any other sport, and the Blue's were another one I absolutely love.
