I could miss him too, I had a great hard and accurate wrist shot. I just couldn't skate. I could have been a fantastic career ECHL player if that had been my goal in life, which pretty much means you've went all in on being a loser in life. So I passed on that and found other more productive ways to lose in life.
One of the great hockey minds and characters of the game
People forget he was a pretty good coach with the Bruins in the mid to late 70s which was a team in transition from the Orr and Esposito yrs,
Lunch pail team that got to two finals and 4 yrs in a row were in the final 4. If only for that too many men on the ice call in 79 would have played and maybe beaten the upstart Rangers team in that final
There was more to Don Cherry than loud suits and populist opinions - he is one of my favorites and will not forget what he did for my favorite team
I still have anger issues regarding the NHL, so I don't know. I know I see games advertised on TV
Fans in the ATL should have anger issues about Bettman given how he and the ATL Spirit helped sabotage the Thrashers franchise
Did nothing for our city like he did for Nashville, Buffalo, even Pittsburgh, etc but enabled as much as he could to get the franchise for True North in Winnipeg,
I still give a dam about my original team the Boston Bruins but once they are done I tune out hockey.
I actually became a Thrashers fan while they were here, (Bruins were run on the cheap at that time) went to the games but have not entered that building since. If that is your anger vs the NHL I share it
And other then the Celtics I tune out the NBA but when you grow up with those teams you never lose interest

Just one more win Tampa Bay, and the most hated team in the NHL will be out again.
Not sure why anyone would hate on Tampa Bay, they've played good and clean they've got all the ingredients. The Bruins have no one to blame but themselves and their quitting goalie.....who has already cost his team a couple Cups during his career, so how much of a loss was he really when he walked out?
