I'm too young to remember the Flames before Calgary and the Thrashers are a dear piece of my childhood that got ripped away too early, but I go for the Islanders this time of year. 1st place atop the Met after an amazing January run. We'll see how they finish.

Anybody down for some hockey talk/got teams making a final playoff push?
Most I've been into hockey since the Thrashers left. That whole incident completely ruined my relationship with hockey until recently. Most fun games to go to of any sport (f-ing love watching the Bravos too obviously.)
I've recently been realizing how much I should hate the Jets. That fan base is full of pompous effers. They apparently talked a lot of trash to Thrasher fans when the team left about how our fans suck, but it was really the low life thugs of Atlanta Spirit that Fracked this city.
First year after the Thrashers left, I tried to follow the Jets a little but the logistics of it were impossible with me never able to watch the games.
Quickly switched to the Islanders soon after the Trash left as they were an obvious choice - my father was from Long Island and many of my relatives live there. This season I've been streaming all most every game. I used to go to lots of Thrasher/Islander games with my dad, even several games at the old coliseum on Long Island.
My father is no longer around so it's really a tribute to him. He was a huge Isles fan and lived through the dynasty. The Preds would have been the next obvious choice with how close and awesome that team is.
The hated Bruins sort of took over in the middle of the 2nd period
My avatar shows who I’m rooting for of course. I did have the terrible misfortune of living near St. Louis for my dad’s job for six years when I was a kid, but it was right the Blues team came about and I’ve always hung onto them. Been waiting fifty freaking years for this. I liked Whitey Herzog and Whitey ball but after he was gone I never rooted for the Cardinals ever again. In fact I want to beat them more than any other team because I still have friends back there.
I am a Blackhawks fan which may make my rooting for St. Louis seem odd, but having no hometown allegiance to Chicago I do not feel the same obligation to hate all other Central division foes.
Now one team I do not like at all is the Bruins.
Traditionally the Blackhawks and Red Wings were the Blues biggest rivals, but it's now become Nashville first and then the Hawks since the realignment. I've always hated the Hawks so it's been with great pleasure I've watched them miss the playoffs, but they did have a hell of a run. I've gotten so sick of Boston area teams I hate them all now, I'd root against them no matter who they were playing.
The Bruins fans vs Bruins fans is classic Boston lol.
I was born in Boston but only lived there until I was 4 or 5, so I have no affinity to those teams except I used to like watching Brady in the playoffs whenever the Falcons were out. But even that was ruined in 2016.
