I read an opinion piece somewhere of a guy sticking up for Ozuna, the guy believes Ozuna will get off scott free from this last episode. And I agree with that. The video pretty much showed him passing the field sobriety test, and from what I make of it his blood alcohol level was never checked anywhere at any point. What irks me about it was that the officer told Ozuna right from the git go he was pulled over for excessive speeding and failure to maintain his lane, but he was not charged with either of those things. Why not? So now they have him on nothing. The guy writing the opinion piece also claimed the reported timeframe was wrong--he claims Ozuna was actually pulled over at 12:30 but not booked into the jail until 3:30 or 4AM or whatever. I thought I saw the time on the body camera or somewhere else maybe that he was actually pulled over around 3:30 on the way to another bar. At any rate, he's going to get off 100% from the whole thing, and the Braves are going to say they feel like it's only right that he not be cut for something he ended up being found "innocent" on. That's why he's still dressing every night. Our organization plans to keep him and start playing him again. I strongly disagree with that idea.

What has he done playing wise to deserve to be thrown back out there.... that is my issue.

What has he done playing wise to deserve to be thrown back out there.... that is my issue. The only answer is they’re paying him a lot of money. They may just plan on not actually using him this year then either try to trade him or repair his reputation for next year but they obviously aren’t going to just cut him and eat the money. I think they’re going to use his “innocence” to avoid eating all the money. My problem with that is first of all “no, just no”is my opinion on that. Secondly at least suspend his ass with pay for the rest of the season. Him being in the dugout every night is really messed up right now. And an indication they MAY still try to use him this season, which would be uber stupid because he’s a head case who isn’t committed to the team, and secondly like you say he sucks. I guess there’s a part of them that thinks he can still be a great hitter. Piss on that.

So now that Harris is signed long term should we also try to sign Strider, Contreras, and maybe Grissom to long term deals or concentrate on Fried and/or Dansby?

Hard to say because I have no idea where those guys heads are with willingness to go through the arb process vs signing a very, very friendly team deal.
Plus I don't know AA's thoughts on signing pitchers to long term deals. I would have to really sit down and look at the organizational depth at pitcher. It could theoretically be better to keep those guys through the arbitration years and then let some other team bite the bullet on long term risk free agent deals.

Brave's Huascar Ynoa underwent TJ surgery yesterday. It will probably be 2024 before we have a chance to see him again.

What's the deal with the seats behind the plate in Truist, why is it always 50% full. They need to give those seats to the real fans that sit down the lines and in the outfield, it's a joke. If the elite so called ticket holders of the A-listers behind the plate aren't going to show, let some real fans that would actually watch the game and cheer come sit there after it's obvious the A-Listers aren't showing. The players deserve fans around the plate actually into the game, not looking at themselves on the monitors and chit chatting. Watch other team's fans behind the plate actually watching the game and cheering. It's embarrassing.

Hard to feel embarrassed about being near the top of the league in attendance. I've never really paid attention to the fans in camera shot behind the plate.

The Atlanta Braves are 8 games away from completing a 162 game schedule without a single sacrifice bunt.
This has never happened in MLB history.
