Now, to the guy that thought we should chill out,,,,,, this is why. That would be me and you were screaming take him out in the 2nd inning. You'd destroy a pitching staff in a month with that kind of knee jerking. I'd have taken him out after 4 and put Smyly in, but that's just me. and had he pulled him, we would be ahead 2-1.

Man when Touki throws a bad pitch... it is BAD He really never has any idea where the ball is going when he throws it.
When he threw the pitch inside that Gray got hit in the hand trying to bunt, on the next pitch it was low and outside and the Rockies announcers said they were surprised we didn't back in on Gray on the next pitch. That cracked me up......Touki WAS trying to go in again, he just missed by two feet. Which is pretty normal for him. He has an awful lot of wacky motion going on, he has good stuff when he somehow throws it in the general area of where he wants it, but that's just not often enough.
Thing is outside of the lack of control; He'll throw 17 pitches and everyone of them will be dippsy-dooing all over the place, and then all of a sudden one come in floating belt high, middle plate, straight as an arrow.

At least Webb appears to have turned it around. Webb looked like the real deal a couple of yrs ago when he first came up than he ran into an injury He should be a part of the future if the FO makes the right decision. A two inning mid relief guy is his role and yes, that is a highly important role in the game today we need guys like that. He works pretty quick seems to know what he wants to do out there

Well yeah... if you assume our pen would have shut them down and we would now be burning our 4th reliever instead of our 2nd one. He did get out of the 2nd without further damage, and did go another inning after that. Should have pinch hit for him though in the bottom of the 4th because 5 was all you were going to get anyway.

He wouldn't be on the roster if it were up to me, and neither would Newcomb. Apparently we don't teach pitchers how to command the zone, or don't draft those that can be taught or something, because it's a recurring problem.

NOOOOO, I am not not assuming our pen would have shut them down, they probably would not have, but I knew Touki was gonna run a wheel off.
