14-5 against the gnats this year. That's pretty good no matter how bad the other team is.

On to face Miami, keep taking two out of 3 and should be all right
2 out of 3 not bad, Bobby Cox would take that all yr long and we know where he usually finished

I can only speak for myself. No, not really. LMAO As long as we have Will Smith as the closer and Luke the Puke on Snitker's pedestal I'm never going to give anybody crap for predicting we're going to lose any game. I absolutely will, even with Smith as closer.

I am all right with Luke for this yr for the most part but Will Smith man, he scares the H out of anybody But for this game I cannot put it all on Will cause that should have been a double play but hell, we won and I will take it by any means necessary Especially when you have the opportunity to pick up a game. We did not play a good defensive game though usually our guys are better than that

Yeah and Joc should have made the catch, but that ball off Smith was hammered so you can still blame him.

My guess is 86 wins just might win this division. We have to do well vs the matchups vs Phl and the Mets and just put it out of the way and get the job done.
Stay 10 or more over and all should be okay unless something crazy happens.

Yeah and Joc should have made the catch, but that ball off Smith was hammered so you can still blame him. We don't have a center fielder other than Heredia, who isn't ideal himself. It's painfully obvious on plays like that one, too.

Will tried his darndest to lose that one, and the offense was homer or nothing besides two runs.
It had every bit of a feeling they were going to lose the way that pen kept giving runs right back. And especially so aftwr Washington took the lead after the bases loaded 0 out fail.

I agree, that ball was hammered and Joc was too close to the wall for me to blame him for dropping that ball. He was running pretty much full speed right to the end so he had to start paying a lot of attention to the wall.

Even if he hits .230 and a .300 OBP to start, with his speed and D we can be patient with him to get better with all the other power around this lineup. He is a special guy on the D. I hope he can be at least a Kiermayer kind of hitter. We just could not keep him around this yr cause he was so overmatched and just not ready at all at the plate. I thought he played mlb level D

Joc probably holds onto that ball id he didn't jump. But yeah, Will Smirh still ain't bueno.

I absolutely will, even with Smith as closer. Well I won't! As is your prerogative! ... but one of the few rewards I get for the effort I put in maintaining this place is pointing out when peeps clown themselves. I rarely make those sort of absolute statements, because baseball is funny in how it has a way of proving folk wrong. Plus I've always said predicting failure in baseball is cheap and easy. If you are correct you preen around saying "I told you so", and if you are wrong it gets brushed aside with the joy of victory and a "I'm glad I was wrong!"

If you are correct you preen around saying "I told you so", and if you are wrong it gets brushed aside with the joy of victory and a "I'm glad I was wrong!" I completely get it, but with this precarious bullpen and "closer" I'm giving people a pass because I always feel like we're going to blow games, and I am not used to that. I've always felt like we were going to find a way to win games. Now I feel like our manager is sabotaging us, we are not strong on backbone and we have the weak pen and particularly the closer, so I feel impending disaster every time we are in any close game.
