Meh... d'Naud had asked for it high and inside Catchers always do that when they're going to nail somebody, it helps give them an excuse. And they NEVER pitch Soto up and in, it's always away or down, to a painful extreme.
Again not that I have a problem with it since it didn't start a rally. Soto deserves it more than any player I've ever seen.
More than Harper? Yea, Soto has been a pain in the ass but right now the Wexpos are not an issue anymore. We have their number now, they will be nothing for a while.

Looks like they just got lucky with that thunderstorm deciding to sit nearly stationary 3-5 miles north of the park. At least just looking at radar, that could have been a postponement causing storm if it had drifted south. Instead it just sat where it was at until now, where at least by look on radar, it has finally creeped over truist park.

wonder if they go after Albies tomorrow in retaliation? I wouldn't be totally surprised, but the last thing we need is to get into a beanball match with a bad team. heck no, not with the division far from decided yet.

It's Will Smith... and we are managed by Brian Snitker.... Just.. ya know.. sayin' Yeah I know but it still looked really intentional. Not that I mind at all, as long as it didn't lead to a rally. We win AND we get a free plunk in on Sotos ribs. Win win. But his next AB against Smith will be worth getting the popcorn ready for. My guess is the next time the ball ends up 12 rows deep

Hopefully it will be a situation like tonight where he has room to give up a run or two.

gnats are in a really tough spot if Strasburg doesn't get back healthy next year and if Corbin doesn't bounce back. They're on the hook for a lot of money for those 2 guys.

Hell, bean both of them.

If Smith hit him intentionally then my opinion of him just changed from utter contempt to mere frustration. I had totally forgotten about that.

If Smith hit him intentionally then my opinion of him just changed from utter contempt to mere frustration. I had totally forgotten about that. That incident adds to my belief that tonight was intentional. Tonight looked as intentional as could be to me anyway, but when you throw in this previous encounter it sure makes you wonder. And the future battles between the two will be very interesting. I kind of hope they don't face each other again in this series because it could get really ugly. Unless they get into a brawl and Soto breaks Smith's arm. His left arm. His home run throwing one.
