That HBP looked intentional.
Just sayin'.
Good. I'll give Smith an "A" for that. Can't stand Soto.

Smith does tend to hit batters - or am I in the moment
And we know about that other unmentionable habit he has
Bottom of the 9th no need to hit anyone just close the thing out

Was that intentional? Looked rather suspicious on replay. Meh... d'Naud had asked for it high and inside

Not that I mind at all, as long as it didn't lead to a rally. We win AND we get a free plunk in on Sotos ribs. Win win. But his next AB against Smith will be worth getting the popcorn ready for.

Barring an absolutely epic collapse by the brew crew, we'll be up 3 in the loss column.

Relatively stressless inning to close it out. Not something that gets to be said often about Smith.

Anyway, one for the good guys. And might be a profitable night if the Brewers do their job

Was that intentional? Looked rather suspicious on replay. Meh... d'Naud had asked for it high and inside Catchers always do that when they're going to nail somebody, it helps give them an excuse. And they NEVER pitch Soto up and in, it's always away or down, to a painful extreme.
Again not that I have a problem with it since it didn't start a rally. Soto deserves it more than any player I've ever seen.

Relatively stressless inning to close it out. Not something that gets to be said often about Smith. Smith has been a good pitcher in the past. The key for him is to locate the fastball and get swings and misses with the breaking ball. He's been hanging breaking balls and putting fastballs right down the middle. Those are 2 huge issues.

I wouldn't be totally surprised, but the last thing we need is to get into a beanball match with a bad team.
