Try and get a win tomorrow, then it's a day off followed by a 9 game home stand against the Nats, Marlins, & Rockies (which have been terrible on the road).

Itd almost be worth it to miss the playoffs. Outside chance changes srr made in that case. No way is snybody in the easylt advancing past the first round anyway.
Guys like newcomb, Vogt, tomlin. Smith for sure have to go. And as far as management and coaching, seitzer probably should too.
If by some miracle they make the playoffs, everyone wilp be retained.
This team has nothing at this point.

After that, who cares what happens.

I was harping on the boner that we didn't use Webb to pitch more than one inning, I didn't even realize that Santana only threw 9 pitches as well. So we had two good relievers we used tonight, one threw 9 pitches and the other 12, and we didn't bother to extend either one of them an extra inning in a game where our starter only went three innings. We ended up using 7 pitchers by the time it was over. Then we let Vogt hit for himself in the 9th, because............because d'Arnaud seriously couldn't come in and catch a few innings at the most? We left Arcia and Heredia on the bench and let Vogt hit. Not that either one of those guys are Hall of Famers, but each one has a thousand times more chance of getting on that Black Hole Vogt.
It's one thing to suck or have players just not perform, but to have your manager ALSO sabotage things with stupidity is extra frustrating.

Snitker is a very bad manager. Yeah, I think we've seen why he never got promoted before he did. He's clueless about managing the roster, especially the pen. It won't change, though. The Braves are good ol boy central.

It’s not complicated. Your starter goes three innings, but you’re also still just one run back. First thought should obviously be that it would be really nice if you could get at least one guy to pitch two innings. Then you use two relievers have both been good, one throws just 9 pitches and the other one throws just 12 pitches. But you don’t use either one more than just the one inning each. Then you end up using Newcomb late in the game who........of course walks a guy then gives up a double that costs you the winning run. How stupid can we get? He sabotages the hell out of us on almost a daily basis. Often times we still overcome it. Sometimes we don’t. And somehow he comes out of getting credit from most people for being a great winning manager. SMFH.

I will not be surprised if the Braves throw it away. Chokers. All on Snit and his idiotic management of the bullpen. Whenever you put in Jackson, Minter, Newcomb or Smith, the odds are they let in runs. Snot has to go after this season no matter what. He is a horrible manager. The Braves went from 6 games ahead in the loss column to two in the blink of an eye.

I don't think there's anything any manager can do at times. Think of it as math. Advanced math is tricky for even the best students. Even they will fail sometimes. The problem is that Snitker fails at the basic 1+1 and 2 x 2 level. That's unacceptable.
Sean Newcomb is a great example. He should have been gone a long time ago, but we keep bringing him up here and watching him lose games. Minter is almost as bad. Loyalty is great, but we cross the line from loyalty to stupidity far too often. It's not all on Snitker, though. Our development sucks balls.

The absolute refusal to let a pitcher go two innings no matter how low his pitch count, is just bizarre.

Snitker painted himself into that corner. And everyone (except Snitker, apparently) KNOWS what a huge risk putting Newcomb into a game is. It's not like we're talking small sample size here. It's been 5 years. 5. Years. And it's the same old thing with him. No control. That is very unlikely to change.

Meanwhile Tanner Roark and his 2.14 ERA have elected free agency while the dude who walks everyone he sees got multiple call ups(and the expected results).
This management with this team sucks. Roark might not have done any better, but he deserved a chance over Newcomb, who has been given far, far too many

But he struggled with command his entire minor league career as well. He's just never going to fix that. So putting him in a close game late is just asinine, especially when you put yourself in that spot out of ignorance. Snitker usually puts Newcomb in with runners on base already, which is just begging for trouble because he's even wilder then. Derrrrrrrrrrrp.

Roark might not have done any better, but he deserved a chance over Newcomb, who has been given far, far too many Biddle has been doing really well at Gwinnett, so when we do finally send Newcomb down again we'll most likely have to put up with Biddle again. Who will then take a big crap and fall back in it, because that's what he always does.
