I hate to be the grim reaper but we have not seen Langliers in AAA yet. But no question about the overall progress he has made and it looks like he might be a better hitter than projected. He might even be ready in the middle of next yr Is it realistic to expect him to skip AAA? That is something we have to wait and see By 2023 should we expect him to be able to play 110 games by then? Does not seem unreasonable I do hope and expect that Pache will succeed in his next chance. But do we want to take the chance and hand him the keys to center next yr without insurance of something proven just in case? We know it did not work this yr but next yr? Fair question. Always be aware where the brakes are when it comes to prospects - Acuna was one of the very few that gave excitement right away and did not tail off. You downplaying prospects? Who woulda thunk it! We can go ahead and just pre-approve Langeliers for the elevator shaft.

Of course absolutely and you know enough about baseball history that is makes sense not to over expect from prospects immediately. But downgrading prospects - no - hey a guy has to earn some failure in order to earn the elevator shaft. But with this kid - he looks good I won't argue or deny that. Its always a guess with prospects but my hunch is for next yr we will get more from Pache than Langliers for 2022. Now for 2023 - we might see a stud a young Buster Posey. That would be great. I have said in prior posts that Langliers would be on my untouchable list.

Blackmon looks like a well used artist’s brush. All tied up, Oscar put that pitch in the wrong place.
