(From Thursday night)
David O'Brien@DOBrienATL Adam Duvall leads the majors in homers with runners on base, with 20 (of his 30 total). Next is Vlad Guerrero Jr. with 19, and Salvador Perez with 18. Second-most in the NL is Pete Alonso's 17.
Shohei Ohtani leads the majors with 42 homers, 26 with bases empty. 1 7 114
David O'Brien @dobrienatl Duvall said that was probably the longest homer he's hit. Some of us thought 477 ft. seemed a conservative estimate. There've been 490-foot homers this year, and that looked every bit as long as those. Not that it matters, of course. Suffice to say, it was crushed and important. 5 11 246
David O'Brien @dobrienatl Five of Adam Duvall's 10 hits (in 45 at-bats) at Coors Field have been homers. Also has a couple of doubles. So, three singles, two doubles, five homers in 45 ABs.

Duvall is definitely an all-or-nothing hitter. He's a very good outfielder as well. He and Riley are somewhat similar in that they're more athletic than you would think from just looking at them.

The Giants are 85-49. The Dodgers are 85-49. The two rivals are 8-8 against each other. The run total in those games is 68-68.

Bally Sports South Adam Duvall is the only player since 2016 with 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙚𝙚 30-homer seasons as a qualified National League outfielder.

I'd love to see Langeliers play 110 games for us next and d'Arnaud the rest.
Of course it wont work that way.
Shewmake is so skinny he makes Max Fried look like a big fatty. Shewmake can't play if the wind is gusting over 15 mph or he'll get swept away.

There was never any question about his arm or his defense, and now it looks like he's gonna be a plus hitter. I'm more excited about him than any prospect we have.

I hate to be the grim reaper but we have not seen Langliers in AAA yet. But no question about the overall progress he has made and it looks like he might be a better hitter than projected. He might even be ready in the middle of next yr
Is it realistic to expect him to skip AAA? That is something we have to wait and see
By 2023 should we expect him to be able to play 110 games by then? Does not seem unreasonable
I do hope and expect that Pache will succeed in his next chance. But do we want to take the chance and hand him the keys to center next yr without insurance of something proven just in case? We know it did not work this yr but next yr? Fair question.
Always be aware where the brakes are when it comes to prospects - Acuna was one of the very few that gave excitement right away and did not tail off.

One thing we have seen this week is we cannot depend on other teams to do it for us. Phillies and the once beleagured Muts are on a W streak as of now.
Tough losses last week, last night's win broke that stench of losing but we have to do it ourselves. Must win this Colorado series cause the enemies are creeping and streaking behind us.
Yes, I am panicking over the Phils and Muts - they are scaring me now.
