2-0. One more and it will probably not be a terrible idea to change channels. Another flat fastball dead center. Another homer. The first one was probably enough. I'm out. Some of us work around here..... 😊

I doubt that Smyly will last more than 4 innings.

Smelly's pitches are bat magnets.

The old spin rate really got AA on the Smyly deal, didn't it? LMAO

Sure glad Smyly was chosen to remain in the starting rotation. He had a 5.21 ERA for the last 5 starts coming into tonight, which is going to get uglier. But he'll be taking his veteran presents to the mound every 5 days the rest of the year.
25 HRs now in 113 IP this year.
This is looking like a game we can use Tomlin in, that has to be making Snitker moist. That's the good thing about keeping Smyly in the rotation, it creates some innings for Tomlin.

I think Urias is a good pitcher period, but he seems like he's always been a nightmare match up for us. He knows how to pitch, and he uses his offspeed pitches extremely well. We are a fastball hitting juggernaut, and pitchers that have good offspeed pitches and know how to use them are tough for us. He's setting our guys up and then blowing 94 mph fastballs by us like they're 100. Urias is a throwback to the pitching generation I grew up with. Knowing how to pitch and enough velocity to blow it by MLB hitters after he uses the off speed stuff. The LAD are deep, if we win one of these games might even call it a success. When its said and done I do think the LAD take the division and SF gets the top WC. Its nothing against SF but LAD is just too deep and have overcome some key injuries all yr.

I can see the Brave and Phillies tied going into that last 3 game series. I sure hope we have a 1 or 2 game lead but the schedules don't favor us.

$11 million for this chump. That sign did turn heads, AA kind of bid against himself on that sign, had they been patient and not pounced on Smyly so early my thoughts is he could have been had for 7 or 8 mil - even that is alot for his past record. Overall, Smyly has been a mixed bag after that bad start when we all hated him at the time - but anyone who given him 11 this time around is crazy

I think it's more than just depth with the Dodgers, it's their approach. They make guys pitch, and we don't.

Eh my interest has been lost in this one now. Bad thing is philly is heating back up and their schedule is now what the braves was prior to the Yankees series
